surprises me that you state you don't think linus would jam nut flushes on the KT3 3 9 board, nut flushes seem like a pretty pure jam given the huge lack of boats in BB's range. What makes you believe Linus wouldn't jam NF in this spot? Am I missing something?

Yeah in retrospect not sure why O said that. Seems perfectly reasonable to have nut flushes there

Seems hard to imagine a flop XR followed by 3/4 pot on the fourth of the suit on the turn not being underbluffed. Even in GTO land solver folds more than calls with QJhh.

Yeah, I wouldn't put my money on it being overbluffed, thats for sure. But maybe he thinks he can outplay the BB on the river, which increases EV of calling turn

I really love those this! Very clear cut, comprehensible explanations, one building block on top of the others. Great video! A suggestion: GTO-Wizard can give the composition of the ranges. In the last hand I would have been interested how many flushes the checkraiser is supposed to have because I would have thought that flush draws would be natural bluffraises on the flop, but maybe not many nut flush draws because of showdown value. So I would think Ignacio could have quite a lot K high - J high flushes which he might not bet very big on the turn because they are not the nuts but still can get a lot of value with a bet. This would also cover his non flush bets nicely. The big bet seems to be a bit too much polarizing narrowing the value range of Ignacio too much.

Poker noob here, question around 10:46 - Why is 364 and 3 on the turn better for Matthew? Matthew essentially has low pair w/ high kicker so the best he can do is trips, while Barak can flip trips (assuming he has A or K kicker) or have a higher combo (ie straight, full house, ...)

last hand is so sick, I have a question? OTT we expect theory to size down the sets when there's 4 to a flush, however when villain doesn't, and exploitatively goes bigger, what exactly is the issue and how does he open himself up to be exploitable? When I see hands like QJ no spade float IP to a big sizing it starts seeming like a major blunder to size down OTT with sets? I'm not sure I even truly understand the purpose of the float either, because if villain mostly only reps flushes or air, we have no redraw equity with QJ and can only win if we're hoping they'll shutdown OTR and fold to a bet? out of the three hands it's definitely the one that caught my attention because of how much it seemingly diverges from theory. I would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction. :))

In hand 2, what is the worst hand that is indifferent to calling here? 🤔 I was thinking that Barak should be inclined to call with 99+ a lot of the time since 88 and 77 do block quite a few bluffs, especially when they have a spade in their hand, so I was guessing (for fun) that Barak had AA here.

Is it correct to think that K♣️J♣️ is not a good combo to bluff raise vs thin vbets since you block both JJ and KK that are hands that you actually would like your opponent to have?
@saulocostapoker
@saulocostapoker 4 ай бұрын
Depends on what you think JJ and KK will do vs the raise. If you think those hands will call vs a raise, then you would want to block them, as that decreases the probability of getting called. If you think those hands will fold vs a raise, then you wouldn't want to block them, as doing so increases the probability of getting called.

3:04 Why "he doesn't have tens"? It's BBvsCO. I think he is coldcalling at least 50%. Or maybe in this rake structure he would 3bet all of TT?
@saulocostapoker
@saulocostapoker 4 ай бұрын
There's a difference between theory and practice. If you're on the button with AA and get 3bet by the blinds, you should call a lot instead of 4betting every time - but no one does that. From my experience I don't think strong aggressive players will cold call TT BB vs CO. Even if solver says they should sometimes

I imagine allegedly best player in the world is balanced enough in first hand to have huge overbet bluff which makes life of zgirouski miserable. Only timing tell could help him to make better decision.. Wow Matthew guy creative bluff on river would keep me on guard vs him . Huge respect to being able to find such one . Well it couldnt work vs 6 but vs all lesser hands it might. And the third hand is also pretty sick those ppl trying mimic solver taking soul off poker but it is impressive

I might be wrong but isn't your logic flawed in that spot where you say A highs are good candidates to bluff raise in the river ? In the 66334 board, aren't most of his bet-folds worst hands than A highs. Which would make A highs good bluffcatchers instead of good bluffraisers. What value bets-folds does your oponent has there ? Pocket pairs above 44 and a straight ? Is that what A highs raise fold out ?
@saulocostapoker
@saulocostapoker 4 ай бұрын
Good bluffcatchers tend to also be good bluffraises in poker theory (GTO). The properties that make a hand a good bluffcatcher very often also make them good bluff raises - unblocking bluffs from the opponent and blocking value bets
