I think my fastest time without jewels was like less than two minutes on Chapter 1. I forgot which character I did it with, but I got the sigil to significantly increase damage, the gambit to deal massive damage with your first attack, and then after one shotting the next guy I got one that froze the opponent at the start of the round. After that I pretty much just held one button and dealt with everything else up to Ironclad.
