On a sidenote, I like the special effects we see in the game footage here: they are not over-the-top or too blinding (like in some other games where the screen is filled with flashy big effects to the point you can barely see what is happening and almost blinded).

Wow dude, I've posted about this several times in several places.. me and you might be the only two people genuinely concerned about the combat systems in AoC. I seen that first "cleric live stream" last year, seen the 1 button cleanse, from one class, the only healer, that removes any debuff and immediately was sure there would be problems. I have faith in Intrepid by all that ive seen, but that gave me reason for concern.

I think that the game has a bunch of cool mechanics, and the visuals are fine, but, man!, there's so much visual noise! It looks like a Korean Star Wars MMO.

Yeah, I completely agree. The abilities need to be toned down for sure. I'm hoping before we get into A2, they are at a better place.
