Timothy Sunday Awsome tips. I will for sure use the first tips :) I like to move my Mavic Air slowly up and tilt the camera slowly down and at the top of the tree or house or whatever i have my camera strait downward. Hope yould understood what I meant😂😂

I like your videos Timothy. After the intro it's straight into it and always really interesting content. I watch everyone to the end and now my videos are slowly improving. I'm retired live in Australia and the wife and I get away in a caravan as often as we can. I hope you put up more video of the places you stop at while touring the great USA

I recently picked up a Mavic Pro after watching several of your video on the drone. Well done, sir! Well done! I really enjoy the format of this video with straight to content. The only thing I would say could be added to the description is a table of content to take you directly to key sections. You seem as though you already put a lot of work into the videos, such as planning out the content from end to end while also making it feel energetic and spontaneous. I really enjoy the content you cover and the style. One thing that got me was not configuring the IMU before taking off the first time. the craft has a really heavy drift and didn't respond to the controls very well, but luckily I was outside and it only went into the chainlink fence and cracked a prop haha. I'm over in Atlanta and have started a challenge for myself I call "52 Peaks of the Year". So far I have summited 12 mountains and I am planning on taking some drone shots of the next ones throughout the year (pending government checks for local laws and whatnot). I've been practicing slowly in my yard and still have a way to go. Anyways, great videos and great format!

Great video and advice. I'm a finish carpentry guy. I relate those multiple camera movements to a compound miter cut. I call them compound multi angle shots....lol. Very hard to do smoothly but it looks fantastic when done right. I learned by stacking my stick commands. First move left then start yaw, then up, then roll camera gimbal, after awhile you get much faster at it.

Just finished watching your Mavic Pro playlist. I really enjoyed the videos and they were super helpful. Some constructive criticism though, is that the play list seems "backwards" chronologically and it seemed a little weird the way they were set up. Anyway, your videos were just what I was looking for as I am learning about my Mavic, so thank you very much!!

Great video, Timothy! You didn't waste time and got right to it. I loved the tip about using slow motion. I haven't really thought about how it could smooth out my shots. Great tip! Keep it up! I'm going to dig deeper into making my shots more cinematic. If you haven't done a video on filters, I'd love to see that!

I really like these tips a lot! Can you maybe do some videos on video editing tips specifically for drone videos. Preferably Final Cut Pro. I am always curious about editing when you have footage captured in a few different resolutions and frame rates. This video is helpful and would love to see you expand on these. As always thank you Timothy!

Tim and group - I am trying to get the flight video to my phone in 1920 x 1080 vs 1280 x 720 for editing on the DJI Go 4 app. I was able to do it once and now every setting I put the video camera at from 1080 to 2.7 to 4K, everything goes to my phone as 1280 x 720. Thank you for your guidance! Jim in San Diego

I watch the ads :) Honestly been too impatient to do this yet, lol, so I really need to take a few in the house here and make some of these adjustments and try it out. Uploaded a couple so far off the goapp editor and you can see my struggles and yet see some attempts at multi-axis shots and movements that look good. Going out today so I will try to chill and try to adjust real quick. Just popped into sport mode after hitting level 16 w 45 flights, 6hrs.40mins. and wow, too fun... Peace, Wheelchair John in Idaho :)

You may have had this question multiple times but how do you avoid flyaways with the Mavic Pro? I have had mine for weeks and have yet to fly it. Mostly because of a few confidence knocks with my previous drone (DJI Phantom). Can you recommend an initial set up check list? It's a little daunting that there are so many menus and settings, that I almost feel that I should be doing more than I have in preparation for launch. Once its up and flying and I get practice, I will be fine. Until then, I will just keep opening my rucksack and reorganising and stroking it!

Hi! Great vids dude!! I have a Mavic pro,GoPro hero 6 and iPhone X and love making vids for my holidays and use iMovie for the Mac! Do you think I need Final Cut Pro or premiere?? Or will I movie still do a good enough job as I’m not a professional like you! 😁👍
@TimothySunday
@TimothySunday 6 жыл бұрын
I think that's totally up to you. If you're satisfied with the end result than keep doing what you're doing. If you find yourself wanting more flexibility and technical aspects, then dig in and learn the new software. It's a skill that's always useful! I will say if you're on imovie then going to final cut pro x is a much better choice than jumping to premiere. the learning curve will be less.

Tim as I live in Australia I shoot with the Mavic in PAL which only gives me a 24fps max but if I shot NSTC I could set my frame rate to 30fps. Is there any problen when formatting the video if I mix both video clips @ 30fps BUT the drone is in NSTC & other video clips are PAL but both are @ 30fps?
@TimothySunday
@TimothySunday 6 жыл бұрын
I would keep it all in PAL. You can still go higher than 24FPS though. You could shoot in 50fps and slow down by 50%

I like shooting video with my phantom 4 pro at 60fps. The only problem I come across now is that I have the Sony A7riii. It only goes up to 30fps. So when I edit my video on Final Cut Pro I would like to keep the frame rates the same. Can I still get super slow motion with 30fps? Or 24fps?.
@TimothySunday
@TimothySunday 6 жыл бұрын
you should shoot in 60 on the P4Pro and then slow it by 50% in post to match your 30fps timeline and 30fps sony footage. Make sense?
@Lunafilms12
@Lunafilms12 6 жыл бұрын
Timothy Sunday I agree but question . But wouldn’t 4k at 24 FPS give it a more cinematic look?
@TimothySunday
@TimothySunday 6 жыл бұрын
slow motion gives more cinematic look. 24fps is the natural image blur so that's real time. for example, I shoot and publish in 23.98 and I record in 120fps for broll on my canon and 4k 60 on my phantom. Then slow that down to match 23.98 in post to get the buttery smooth shots. I just said 30 above because you had mentioned 30fps on your sony.
