I just got my PS5 like 3 days ago.. and bought 1 game.. Elden ring with its erdtree dlc... Then I had to sub to PS networks and just got Returnal downloaded.. about to start it now.. so I was glad to see that they were both in your countdown.. Ive been out of gaming since 2019 or so as I had RL catastrophes happen.. so glad I'm back.. I cannot wait to grab horizon zero dawn 2 and 1 if it's remastered for PS5.. I was like 20 hours in when shit hit the fan for me.. subbed!

Part of Elden Ring’s fault lies in the fact that it’s hard. While some people love the challenge it brings, a lot of people play video games to escape and relax, not to stress out even more. I know for a fact that I’m not the only one of my friends who feel this way. We stress at work, we stress with normal family home life events. Those 3-5 hours I get a week to game are crucial for my relaxation. I’m not denying that Elden ring isn’t a great game for the people that the game was designed for, just that it’s a game that’s definitely not everyone’s cup of tea.

I don't know of you played the games or just read the reviews. The reviewers wrote that Black Myth is similar to God of war or Devil May Cry. Bullshits. The game has souls fighting style. You have to observe your opponent and attack only when he is in idle. You cant break your move mid-animation (maybe only with perfect dodge). When the enemies hit they hit hard (maybe it's less punitive tha a souls game). Maybe It doesn't have the level design of a souls game, but these element make the experience really close to them. And no, they're not hack and slash...

You literally cannot understand what a soulslike stands for, you would call sekiro, nioh etc etc a soulslike when they are not even close to a soulslike. Also you said "when the enemies hit they hit hard" btw if you think that its a soulslike thing, mate i got news from you, on gow 2018 and ragnarok max dificulty enemies hit WAY HARDER than in a soulslike, and i have hundreds of hours in both ds3 and elden ring

@AshApocalyptic HZD is far better than forbidden west. I've platinumed both and FW felt like a chore/a job. The story tries to carry on but doesn't really add anything (got to the end and thought what was the point) and Aloy is about 2D of a character in FW in terms of personality and charisma. Personally I'd say watch a walk through and pick it up for free when it eventually comes to ps plus.

In fact, there are few REALLY interesting games coming out on this generation. You can actually count them on your fingers. All publishers make mostly “safe” sequels. There are no new good story ideas. Just a couple of them.
