why not have a divation for a pair of A;s? just Hit when its neg 5 or more?

Can’t wait till I’m able to afford these I practice a lot at home and know most deviations from the 18 still the looks people give you when you split 10’s in a game is hilarious

@@A1-BJ I usuallly buy onto a table for 160-200 and min bet is 2 dollars and playing 2 spots is 5 dollars each

I have interest to know what deviations do to percent of winning hands vs just basic strategy. Basic strategy is around 42 wins and 49 losses per 100 hands and rest being pushes. So playing deviations does those numbers change? The double down percent can change too but I want to know percent of wins and losses please.

According to BJA, playing with the top 20 or so deviations increases profits by 20-25%

Double deck does have different variations. Insurance being one of the major ones!

Insurance for sure. As far as the other deviations, yes, you can learn them if you want. But I find the minimal E.V. Gained isn't worth the brain power it takes to learn each small variation. I even know some teams who don't use the Insurance difference. So up to you, but you won't miss out on too much E.V. if you don't learn very small differences
