@ploue5892 ай бұрын
floating points is incredible, you can't go wrong with any of his work i think there's a solid case to be made that Pharoah Sanders has the greatest body of work in jazz. Karma, Summun Bukmun Umyun and Village Of The Pharoahs are all fantastic introductions. and Promises of course. Promises is unbelievable

@jerrys1 I personally have two by Greep/bm, but four does seem like a lot. But hey, every opinion is valid so long as they aren't saying they're superior to others or others are bad, and I'm just glad that people are enjoying things.

Have you even TRIED to listen to a different artist than Black Midi and Black Country, New Road?
@ProminentCorpseАй бұрын
You may notice that this list is only 20% those two bands, with the rest being entirely music that is different. Sure, that's a fair chunk, but if someone has bands that are favorites then that's great. Having a limited taste in music (which this person does not at all have) isn't a bad thing anyway. The world is made of cruelty and suffering and if someone is finding joy in music there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Have you even tried not judging people's music taste for no reason, or at least keeping your mouth shut about it? Or do you just want to feel superior for your "better" music taste?

Lover, you should've come over is the greatest song ever. There is not a single piece of music that comes close - even a little bit in comparison to how transcendent that song is. If you disagree then you need to start questioning your consciousness as you might just be a hollow shell of flesh imitating the human species.

I think the beautiful thing about music is how universal it is- if a song or album means something really special to a lot of people, chances are I’m going to love it too just because of how much passion must have been put into it. It’s awesome to say you’re keyed into some stuff that other people haven’t picked up on yet (and hey, the #2 song here has like 6K views on KZbin!), but a lot of this is so beloved for a reason. Keep doing your thing man!
@ProminentCorpseАй бұрын
@colinwillette5997 I really respect your list because it clearly isn't trying to be "unique" or anything, it's just music you like. People who act like "oh, it's so lame to like music that's acclaimed, it would be better if you preferred all this niche bullshit" really piss me off. Fuck any person who believes that they are entitled to look down on or judge anyone for liking anything that isn't actively harmful or morally wrong, so long as that person doesn't use liking certain things to try to insult or look down on things others like. Sure, I disagree with fans of Taylor Swift or whatever who have a list of only songs by that one artist or a few select artists, but it's not my fucking business who likes what and judging others only makes the world a shittier place. The above comment is far from the worst thing in the world but it was the straw that broke the camel's back for me in terms of elitist internet bullshit. This was a weird tangent but I saw a bunch of comments making judgements or insulting you for this list and while I don't know you I kind of snapped for some reason.
