I continue to be amazed at how much money, time, and creative imaginations go into the developing/creating/acquiring of the SNL's sets and props to make the skits seem believable, that is, to truly "come alive" for all to watch and enjoy!

The best for me is, hands-down, the Bill Hader “for the price of a cup of coffee, you can help feed the starving people in this village…” fundraising advert. The villagers start interrupting to ask why he’s not asking for more money, cash rather than checks (“you ASK for cash, you SETTLE for a check…”. When Leslie Jones looks into the camera and demands $200 cash if we ever wanna “see this white man again” I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard. Check it out, worth the watch!

My favourite is the MetroCard skit with Roseanne Barr and Phil Hartman!! I worked for a couple of major credit card companies in the 90s and early 2000s and I did the exact job that Roseanne is parodying for many of those years! You get some real freaks calling at 3am but occasionally you get someone you can tell what to do and they hang up and leave you alone. She is SPOT ON!!

I had mom jeans and mom hair and didn’t realize it til my daughter pointed out how alike we all looked in the waiting for her dance class. Now “older adult” has become a risk factor my pharmacy gives me a warning paper about … in large print to boot. I hate to be positive, but I never have these problems at Starbucks. I always get my complicated order made perfectly, with a smile. Let's celebrate workers with integrity! I wish I could go back and tip them all double now that I know the crap they are putting up with. They are paid almost nothing. Like the cashier at your grocery store and the attendant at your gas station, they are surviving on wages that don't support life. If they perform their duties, it's more than you would do. If they fail to be perfect in any way, remember that the world failed them first.
