30 deaths is a little too long for me to watch, but if Fitz from Agents of SHIELD in season 5 didn’t make it on there…I would be truly shocked. I know the show gets overlooked by a lot of people, but I sobbed so hard when he died in the season 5 finale. We hadn’t lost a major character since season 2 and we didn’t expect the show to kill off one of the original members. And it was in the most tragic way possible…he was helping others escape and he got impaled by falling debris from a collapsed ceiling. If they hadn’t brought past Fitz back in s6, my heart would’ve been too broken to come back and finish the show!! Someone can tell me what the death is ranked at if it did make the list.

Glenn's death in TWD will remain the most awful and unforgettable death, IMO. And no matter how hard the writers tried to revamp Negan's character - nope! Never forgave him, and I wished for vengeance until the very end.

Fun fact: the creator of the book Codename Villanelle, Luke Jennings, like the fans, completely hated what they did with the character Villanelle at the end of the series, he said that in the books the ending is different and much better (I won't give spoilers because I do too I haven't read it and I will read it one day), the actress Jodie Comer, who plays Villanelle, didn't like it very much either, she said that for her Villanelle swam out of the river and lives.

George’s death on Grey’s was way more shocking, because they set up his leaving the show in a different way. Also, Ellen Pompeo’s acting when she figures it out was incredible. Derek was shocking, but we all knew he was leaving and knew once he was hit that was how he was leaving the show.

George's death was totally unnecessary. He left, the character quit to join the army. They could've left it at that and that leaves the door open for him to come back.

When it comes to Marshall's dad on How I Met Your Mother, the thing that lists like these don't mention is that there is a countdown. It's subtle, but once you know it's there IT'S THERE. Kutner's death on House - House always needed to know WHY. But, in that case, although he tried over and over to figure out why, there was never answer. And, as sad as that is, it's LIFE. Sometimes when people commit suicide there is no warning. There just isn't. A lot of times, in hindsight, there is, but sometimes....there just is no answer.

Mark Greene's passing in ER just about did me in. He was the first character we saw in the show and one of the last of the original cast left at the time Anthony Edwards bid farewell to his scrubs and moved on. Another one that I thought was a bit of a shock was Warrick Brown on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He was shot in the Season 8 finale and we didn't know if he lived or died until the Season 9 premiere. Fans knew the actor was on the way out but we were hoping he'd be fired, or unable to work due to permanent damage from his wounds. Seeing him pass away in Grissom's arms made me cry ugly tears. It wasn't just a shock, it was a horrible way for him to go.

I’m surprised it wasn’t on the list. Eddie LeBec (Cheers) Carla Tortelli’s second husband, hockey goalie Eddie LeBec, died in the ice after being struck by a Zamboni. Apparently, actor Jay Thomas made a disparaging remark about Rhea Perlman on his radio talk show. Rhea, who is said to be a really nice person, heard it and told the writers she didn’t want to see him again. Hence, LeBec was written off the show.

Having read the comics before that season came out, I went in thinking it was gonna be Glenn because they had been foreshadowing his death at the hands of negan since at least halfway through the previous season. The death that hit me harder was beth in s5 because of her being much younger than most of the group and everything she had done to survive leading up to her final episode. Maggie finding out her sister was alive only to show up right after she died standing up for Noah was just so painful

Really enjoyed watching this particular video ~~ as I watched, it occurred to me just how many of these deaths I had seen over the years. Remembering all those years ago, Henry Blake being sent home from Korea and how happy he and the rest of the cast were, only to see poor Radar, coming Into the OR with the horrible news of Henry’s death……….a..sad, sad, sad. Tara, Sons of Anarchy (hating Gemma at that time), Mark Greene, only every death in the Walking Dead, Anna Lucia and Libby in Lost, Dr. Dreamy ~~ I was more upset than Meredith ! James Evans, Marshall’s dad, George’s Susan ~~ just to name a few ~~ there are only a few shows that I have missed. Yep, have spent many hours watching these programs and just as many hours crying over them too ~~ wow, such a good ride ~~ Thanks xoxox

When I first saw Marshall finding out his father died it was heartbreaking but it hits so much stronger after losing my own Dad to a heart attack. I tear up every time Marshall says "My Dad's dead?!"

joyce in buffy will always get me everytime i watch the episode. even though not totally surprising cause she had healt issue all along the 5th season. but what shocked was how suden it was and normal. and the scene was plaied perfectly, with no music, wich made it hit harder somehow, and felt so real. heartbreaking really.

Can't believe you missed out Gary's death in Thirtysomething. I still recall crying when I first saw it air in the 80s. Or Jim Clancy in The Ghost Whisperer. Or Charlie in Lost or the entire ending of Lost. Or Jen in Dawson's Creek.

On the season 1 DVD of 24, there's an alternate ending in which Jack and Kim find Teri in restraints but alive. They free her and embrace. My mother said that they did that to give them an advantage in contract negotiations with the actress who played Teri, meaning if they could not come to terms they had an in-show explanation for her absence in future seasons.

You didn’t even put Alice and the baby from little house on the prairie! That was the most shocking death scene at that time, that was an uproar from viewers, and Michael Landon and Melissa Sue Anderson had to apologize for making that episode!

TWD was on in the hospital while she was giving birth and I don't know if it's possible to make yourself need a C-section but uh, she wasn't in the room to watch the rest of the newest episode at the time because after Glenn died she stopped watching.

Really? Dana Fairbanks’ death on “The L Word” isn’t on this list? Her death was absolutely shocking & ruined the series for many fans of the show. Even Ilene Chaiken, co-creator, writer and executive producer on the television series, later regretted her decision to have Dana die on the show. It ended the show for so many people & just wasn’t the same show any longer.

The death of Buffy's mother was such a cruel sucker punch. It wasn't a vampire or monster that took Buffy's mom away from her. It was something that happens every day in real life. Buffy's saved the world again and again. But she didn't stand a chance in saving her mother. Devastating.

Mike Delfino on "Desperate Housewives"! That came out of nowhere! And if y'all want a vintage example, check out Maggie on "Falcon Crest" in the late '80s. She dived into her pool to fetch her kids' toys from the bottom and got her wedding ring caught on the drain. Something so mundane - but it was the fact that could happen to anyone that made it more shocking.
