Amazing how many of the skyscrapers are residential towers. I wish Frankfurt would build as many, but so far there are only Grand Tower, Four Tower 2 and Henninger Tower as pure residential towers.

I see that since 2010s, a lot of cities have more and more residential skyscrapers, like New York or London. Maybe it'll be the same for Frankfurt, but i think there will be fewer residential towers than in London, because it's a less populated city.

I think they are clustering the towers in The City too closely together. This will especially be the case once buildings like 1 Undershaft and 100 Leadenhall go up. It creates problems like wind canyons, cannibalization of views (the most valuable aspect of a tall building), and decreases the potential impressiveness of a skyline. You can hardly see the Gherkin from most angles anymore. In New York they require step-backs and the purchase of air rights to prevent this from happening.

I agree, a lot of buildings or even iconic skyscrapers are hidden by new taller buildings. The construction of new buildings seems inevitable, but at the same time the harmony of the skyline must be preserved. But for this problem London is not the worst... but not the best too.

Should find a way to build taller. Small towers compared to NYC.

I don’t think Europe needs buildings higher than 300m high ! According to me, super high buildings make the skyline less harmonious. For example, La Défense has a nice skyline. The highest tower is 231m high so far. The 242 meter-high tower called The Link is under construction.

NYC has spoiled its skyline with the tall skinny skyscrapers of mid town. They don't look good.
