The funniest scene that Carrey has ever done, in my opinion, was in Pet Detective. Where he was going undercover to catch poachers in Africa. Carrey was hiding inside of mechanical hippo that malfunctions and the AC isn't working and he's stuck in there sweating to death and can't get out!! As a safari tour group passes by, they stop to observe this hippo in it's natural enviornment. That's when Carrey just happens to give birth to himself out the back of this hippo to the amazement and disgust of the tour group, especially when a greased up Carrey drops out onto ground!! When it's over, the tour bus quietly rolls away with everyone in complete shock of what they witnessed... Hands down the funniest scene I've ever seen in my 60+ years on this planet. 🙉🙉🙉🙉👽👽👽

I've been wondering when they would put Jim Carrey in a fat suit, Now he will physically be more fitting to the character of Robotnik. Because to be honest. Jim's performance as Robotnik was flawless, But having him play a skinny Robotnik just didn't feel right to me, Since Robotnik and Eggman have always been obese guys.

That scene adds to Ace’s eccentric personality. 6:47 Alrighty then. 2:20 2:23 “Sssmokin'!” 5:59 6:03 “Somebody stop me!” The Mask is my number one favorite Jim Carrey movie and I like Jim Carrey’s performance as the mild-mannered Stanley Ipkiss and his cartoonishly wacky, zoot suited, green-faced, trickster alter-ego; The Mask. What makes me like Jim’s performance is his cartoonish body movements and body language as the character, which saved the director and the visual effects team lots of money on CGI, and the fact that he learned how to talk with the big cartoon teeth making The Mask all the more wacky. But the fact that The Mask's two iconic catchphrases, " Sssmokin'!" and "Somebody stop me!", were unscripted makes the scenes all the more awesome. I knew 27:31 the scene where Jim as Stanley Ipkiss/The Mask pulls a wet condom out of his pocket and then said "Sorry, wrong pocket." was unscripted and improvised, but this is first time that I learned that Jim improvised those scenes, too. 8:20 The Elevator scene from Liar Liar. I never knew that part of the scene when Jim as Fletcher says “Mama” was improvised. But that I know that fact, it makes total sense it was unscripted.

There’s a mistake in Liar Liar, he actually does lie in the movie. In the scene where his assistant quits and walks out she tells him about her friend who sued a burglar and had to pay and asks if that was justice, Fletcher says he would got him more money, she gets mad and Fletcher says “I didn’t understand the question! Ask me again!” But he did understand the question cause he answered with a true answer.

There is nothing odd about Jim Carrey taking the role as Robotnik. Any Sonic fan from the 90s knew it was reason enough to see the film. He is a 90s icon every bit as much as the blue blur himself, and it was a true return to form. It felt like I was in middle school again without any of the bad parts!

the big gulp guys were almost certainly extras, because you can't just film random people without their permission. but the whole point of carrey improvising the exchange is that most extras are unpaid UNLESS they have a speaking part. if they had responded to his comments, the studio would have been forced to pay them, but they were too professional.

I've been a fan since Ace Ventura. I did hear though that Carey is a insufferable prick in real life. You hear stuff like that when a child co-star proudly showed him his new bike, he took the kid to see his luxury car, showed him the features and then screamed in the kid's face: "Your wonderful bike doesn't look quite as impressive anymore now, does it?!" ...and other weird stuff like that.
