Even when Stefan had his humanity switch off, he still felt some degree of remorse with every kill--in a twisted way haha. What I don't understand is how people can come up with absurd excuses for Damon when Damon himself doesn't give a crap about it. At least Stefan faces his problems and is rational. Stefan and Elena are endgame. The parallels the writers are giving us make me laugh, it's so obvious.
