I have been using various credit card since 2015 and I currently have 8 active credit cards of different banks. Now I have got both amazon icici card and hdfc millenia card approved just 2 months back. The amazon card is so good and rewarding that I am using this card as primary.

Gst component is seen as minimal for 500 but for cards of 2k or 10k annual fees, it can be a large amount. When you are saying top 4 free credit card, the lady should not consider sbi.

Just for info - SBI card have dropped giving reward points during sale period from 1st dec i.e if there is currently sale going on amazon for sbi card so we wont get rewards for amazon transactions during sale period

I think citi indianoil and the amex cards have been really rewarding along with the ones you spoke about. For me both these, are almost free. Amex most of the time waves off my annual fees. Citi ioil is lifetime free anyways. For rewards on the citi I get free fuel, so I just need to fill fuel with the citi ioil card at a ioil petrol pump, I get a sms to convert that purchase into a reward points purchase i.e free fuel

IDFC is best but I think it is delivered in metro cities. It is even not available in AGRA AND KANPUR where IDFC has it's own branches. So it is very hard to obtain it in these areas.

Don't understand why you missed on some obvious greats like hdfc regalia, yes first exclusive, idfc wealth, amex membership card and selected a paid SBI card 🤣 For most cards annual fee is waived off if you spend upto a certain extent but that doesn't make them life time free credit card. Lifetime free cards remain free no matter how rarely you use.

Companies will charge for new applicants. When offer is for the time period you applied, it will be as per the offer. They have to overlook their business. Otherwise ppl will lose trust on the company. Icici coral and platinum are lifetime free for some and for some ppl they are chargeable.

Unlike others bank HDFC Bank not sending customer's full Credit card limit to Credit bureaus or CIBIL. But it is one of the top most important thing to make proper Credit score. Because it helps to calculate Credit utilization rate which has highest impact in Credit score. As CIBIL not getting Credit limit they are calculating Till now highest credit utilization as Credit limit. So customer credit utilization will be always very much higher than actual. Sometimes may be 100% also. I have emailed them but they are not agree to send it. Normally answering: "our bank don't send it". BUT THIS IS ILLEGAL. I am showing you how it is happening and what is the Negative Side For customers and Others Bank.

FOR EXAMPLE: One Customer Credit card has Rs.1,00,000 limit His present Due amount: Rs.7,500. Till now his highest utilisation amount is: Rs.10,000. Now what will the RESULT: 1st: In others bank (SBI, ICICI,Axis Bank etc) His credit utilization rate: 7.5 % which is not only good it is excellent to build excellent Credit score. 2nd: In HDFC Bank case His credit utilization rate: 75% which is not only bad it will ruined his Credit score. As below 30% utilization is always recommend to build good Credit score. Where his original utilization rate is 7.5% only but here HDFC bank very cleverly making it 10× higher. And he is becoming a customer who is Over dependent on Credit. But actually he is not this.

Now telling you How and Why they are doing this: Because if they don't send full credit limit to Credit bureau by default bureau calculate till now your highest credit utilization amount as Card limit. So his utilization rate will be always greater than the actual. Which is INJUSTICE. Because it will decrease his credit score even after making 100% on time payment. As per credit bureau he will be treated as Over dependent on credit for your fake high utilization rate. So other banks will not be able to take right decision to give you loan because of your poor credit score although you are a very good customer. But at the same time HDFC only knows your full customer details. So this bank will say I can give you loan no problem. But as your Credit score is low so you have to pay higher interest rate. This is very illegal policy.
