Owatrol "Trade mark" has a product named Owatrol Polytrol. This is a product that refreshens faded plastic items to more or less their original color, or lack of this. Have used it on my own car on the plastic glasses of the headlights, and it works. Effect will last at least 6 months depending on what environment your car is exposed to. The thng with this oil is that there is no grinding with sandpaper of different coarsities. U just wash, rinse and dry thoroughly. Apply the oil and let it sit for about 15 min. Dry off exess oil and polish over with a clean cloth. Just make sure that there is no residue from car polish or anything else. Saves U lots of work of grinding and polishing. Just make sure to mask around the headlights because the oil may also affect the paint of the car (it will not be fun to find out that U will have to do the whole car due to sudden variations in the color).

Sanding is key. You don't need to use any of those chemicals, especially chloroform. Just use Dawn dish soap for sanding, polish with Mothers then wax.

Cracks still remain on headlights .just a reference video which is not the effective and feasible to make headlights look new perfectly. Anyway these guidelines are also useful and informative for DIY loving persons .we can do it home without significant cost

Too much work. It will turn bad again in a week or two. I use Mosquito spray. Spray it on and wipe it off immediately. I then wax it. Takes less than 5 minutes. I use the family powdered Mosquito spray. Spray sections at a time since it dries too fast.
