Eh most beaches it’s not that important. Here in the east coast of Australia we don’t get these type of waves. In California you have them because the plate tectonics just offshore.

I really would like to hear the perspective of the content creators that put these overpowering music tracks in videos like this. Literally no one likes them. Comment after comment complains about them. Can someone tell me what is the draw to do this? Does it affect the youtube algorithm and help gain views somehow?

They put them on as most of the content is stolen and the music covers other tracks, a losers' way to edit.

Especially if it’s an ankle biter that hates water. Some dogs get stoked on water and probably have a better chance of survival than most fuxked up out of shape humans in situations like this.

That lady was just kicking back having a smile while her dog was getting slapped around by the water, shameful dog owner there. Also, if the beach is abnormally large get to some higher ground, it means a large wave is coming in and has pulled a lot of water in to feed it(usually this happens with tsunamis).

Adults, if you decide to go tour these beaches for sneaker waves, so be it. However, leave the fur babies, and kids out of your adventure. Thanks.

Grew up there (2nd video). That is Bassendorff beach. And what was being filmed was the largest jetty on the Southern Oregon coast. It is a dangerous place and fishing vessels get taken down annually. Container ships traverse there. It’s a cool sight to behold. Walking out on the jetty itself is something a lot of people do…. and it’s not uncommon for people to drown. Luckily enough I never needed to run or escape a sneaker wave. (If there is any doubt a large tunnel is on the cliff side just below the coast guard lookout)
