Without exaggeration the guy in video 2 was seconds away from dying. That was one powerful rush of water and surrounded by a rocky breaker.

What is the deal with the arrow on the chick? Nothing special happened at all - better shots of people behind her getting knocked over. No need for the distracting arrow.

If I had to guess -- since the content was stolen, the arrow was put there by the original poster to highlight themselves or wife , from the crowd.

my brother and i both almost died from being pulled into the ocean by sneaker waves. his was on the oregon coast but mine happened in cali. i remember the only reason i wasnt pulled out to sea was because i was clinging onto the big rocks. i was only 8 and was about 4'5". its a miracle im still alive.

Eh most beaches it’s not that important. Here in the east coast of Australia we don’t get these type of waves. In California you have them because the plate tectonics just offshore.

Especially if it’s an ankle biter that hates water. Some dogs get stoked on water and probably have a better chance of survival than most fuxked up out of shape humans in situations like this.

Ok, So if you go to seaside, oregon, there is a river in the middle of the beach, and a warning for big waves is when the river starts getting more rough
@ianz282 жыл бұрын
Grew up there (2nd video). That is Bassendorff beach. And what was being filmed was the largest jetty on the Southern Oregon coast. It is a dangerous place and fishing vessels get taken down annually. Container ships traverse there. It’s a cool sight to behold. Walking out on the jetty itself is something a lot of people do…. and it’s not uncommon for people to drown. Luckily enough I never needed to run or escape a sneaker wave. (If there is any doubt a large tunnel is on the cliff side just below the coast guard lookout)
@WuhTF3 жыл бұрын
If you see waves coming at you... Sneaker or not. You better start running. It's better to be safe than sorry. This is why I stay away from waves even in surf fishing.

I really would like to hear the perspective of the content creators that put these overpowering music tracks in videos like this. Literally no one likes them. Comment after comment complains about them. Can someone tell me what is the draw to do this? Does it affect the youtube algorithm and help gain views somehow?
@ryanreynolds51713 жыл бұрын
They put them on as most of the content is stolen and the music covers other tracks, a losers' way to edit.

@CenPapi2 жыл бұрын
That lady was just kicking back having a smile while her dog was getting slapped around by the water, shameful dog owner there. Also, if the beach is abnormally large get to some higher ground, it means a large wave is coming in and has pulled a lot of water in to feed it(usually this happens with tsunamis).
