The botanical gardens at Tela (I was lucky enough to bump into one of the keepers when I was there, who took me around picking fruit!), the town of Gracias and the area inland from La Ceiba are all wonderful too. Like El Salvador people are put off by its violent reputation but they're both two of my favourite places on Earth.

Hi! I want to go to Utila, but after my trip through Guatemala. Do you have recommendations how to get safe to Utila? I really don't want to spend a day/night in San Pedro Sula.
@BackpackingBananas6 жыл бұрын
San Pedro Sula is not as unsafe as you might think. It is okay to pass through 😊
@cueroysalado12216 жыл бұрын
Niels Hoogeveen don’t worry! San Pedro Sula is like any other city in the world, with good wealthy areas and poor neighborhoods, just skip the bad areas and you will be fine. Btw the city is very nice with a lot of trees and green, if you want you can watch my playlist so you can get an idea 💡

paola mejia i plan an adventure of scuba drives in Utila but need to stay at Tegucigalpa for a couple days. some American friends warned me not to go.... especially in the capital, but as a Chinese, i don't even have a clue of it.. i think it would be fine
@TheClon277 жыл бұрын
@MiyabiMay77 жыл бұрын
Puyang Li Don't worry! It's not THAT dangerous. I honestly never heard a foreigner had a bad experience related with safety in Tegucigalpa
@countjanushassildor47276 жыл бұрын
Puyang Li The only thing dangerous about tegucigalpa is that airport, the landing is crazy and an adventure all on it's own, if you are gonna stay in the capital just don't walk into any places off the main roads, the central plaza is safe and other tourist avenues, once you get over to roatan you'll be in heaven, I can promise you that, hondurans are very respectful and hospitable, trust me, But still take precautions, it's a developing country and so it's bound to go up and down from time to time, but you'll love it.
@anthonyrapalo99636 жыл бұрын
I love how Americans in this thread are like “be careful, it’s dangerous” when chaos to Honduran society was brought about Americans’ influence in Honduran politics in 2015-2017ish. As a Honduran-American, this is so absurd. What’s Honduras crime rate now, almost 2019? Oh look, it dropped significantly. Ya’ll clue-less 🤦🏻♂️
@paulfiguer6313 Жыл бұрын
IF THEY WERE HONEST THEY NEED TO "WARN" PEOPLE ABOUT " NO GOING IS TOO DANGEROUS" NEW YORK, LA, DETROIT, ST LOUIS, MIAMI, OAKLAND, MEMPHIS, CHICAGO,NEW ORLEANS,SEATTLE, HOUSTON, BOSTON, ETC ETC ETC.
