I bought the Zero G 25ft water hose this year, and glad I did, was so tired of those white awful water hoses, greatest invention ever made, so was at costco and found a 100ft Zero hose, but black absolutely love that hose, easy storage and put away, got it in a clear short rectangular Walmart tote, fit perfect, just found your vids, so far so good,,, thanks,,

Great video. We have a 2019 t@b 400 bdl and have all your recommendations except the new surge protector. As for the square leveling blocks, suggest you consider using them for your stabilizer jack pads. Get an extension for your drill - socket so you don't have to bend down to lower/raise your jacks. We installed the LevelMatePro to help us get our t@b level, but we also use two small stick on bubble levels; one next to the door and the other under the front window.

We bought the zero hose sometime back. No nice. We also purchased a hard wired surge protector. It has also saved us twice. Surge protectors are our number one essential. Great video again!

There are definite advantages to the hard wired protectors.

After more than 7 years I bet I don’t have half of what I thought I needed. What I do have left won’t be replaced upon failure. My class c storage that was packed full is now lawn chairs and an electric griddle, and electric grill and an air compressor. I actually have one area practically empty.

We haven’t purchased our camper yet, still saving. We decided on the Tab 400 ( after spending 6 months of looking and doing research) But we’ve been watching Traveling with Delaney for a couple of months now. We really like the information you provide because we’ve never owned a camper so we don’t know much.

I use the Camco RhinoFlex also. Best sewer hose I have found. I still use the Camco blue hose. I haven't made the jump to the Zero G. I switched to an adjustable water pressure regulator last season. I like it much better than the stock non-adjustable regulators. I use the blue Camco filters as a pre-filter. I also use a whole RV filter to make the water drinkable. I carry three dogbones, 50 male to 30 female, 30 male to 15 female, and 30 female to 15 male. I installed a hardwired surge protector with interior display from SurgeGuard. I have heard a lot of good things about the Hughs you purchased. Wheel chocks are definitely essential and should always be used. Good list of the top five essentials needed.

We love our Power Watchdog surge protector (PWD50-EPO-H), we have owned the other brands, by far the Power Watchdog is the most advanced and smartest surge protector/electrical management system on the market today. The design, engineering, and components they use are the best in the industry, I would not plugin without it.

Hey I love the Rhino hose as well. We overpaid for the Viper hose the first time. Now we will go Rhino. Also got the same water hose but a heated one for cold weather. That elbow is a great must have to. 100% agree on the surge protector. That to me is the most must have. Great stuff man. Very well done. Hope this one blows up for you as well.

I would have an almost identical.list. Great video! Tip, if you back up on the leveler it does usually put weight forward on the hitch and difficult to unhitch. If you pull forward on the leveler, you can avoid that issue.

Great advice as usual! We originally had the Anderson levelers, too. Unfortunately, it always slid on us except when we were on grass. We tried shoving it hard under the wheel, we tried pulling forward, we tried backing onto it. We tried going super slow and going faster. Always, always slid on pavement and on gravel. So we switched to the Legos kind and those work great.
@TravelswithDelaney4 жыл бұрын
Someone else commented that apparently Andersen now sends a foam pad you can put under the leveler if its slipping. Ours is so scratched up that it never seems to be an issue for us. The lego blocks also work well.
@robertpanick26604 жыл бұрын
I figured out most of that last year. A few suggestions: 1. Anderson Levelers are good, Anderson Levelers with a Levelmate Pro are FANTASTIC. The Levelmate tells me which side is low and by how much in inches. I pull back and forth to find the spot closest to level, all from inside the truck. I stick the Anderson under the tire and pull forward until the Levelmate tells me I'm level. The Levelmate is a bit expensive, but its worth every penny. 2. I use Zero-G hoses as well. I have two 25' water hoses for potable water (blue tape on the ends) and a single 25' hose for non potable water. The non potable hose gets used at the dump station. 3. I have brass quick connect fittings on my hoses that I got from Lowes. I find its faster and easier to hook up one of the brass quick connects to the T@B and another to the spicket than it is to hook up the hoses directly. Then I just snap on as much hose as I need. The ends also snap together when I'm done to keep contaminants out of the hose.

We switched to the Zero G hose last year and love the ability to store it. This hose has transferred to our van camping very well. The Hughes Watchdog is great! we bought one two years ago and it performed fantastic. Great accessory video.

Thank you! I figured as many people as I see using that Zero G hose, it must be good. It takes up quite a bit less space than the old hose.

Thanks once again for such an informative update! I'll be adding some of these to my spreadsheet (keeping track of everything I might need....and a few things for fun) for the eventual rv. I'm really hoping that once this pandemic rv craze is over, I'll be able to pick up a nice rv for a good price.

Thank you! We really like the Andersen levelers! Some people have problems with them slipping although someone posted that they now include a nonslip pad you can put under them on slippery surfaces.
@bsandey4 жыл бұрын
I use the Anderson leveler. Mine came with a rubber pad you can use if it's a surface that the leveler slips on. I also bought a large bubble level I mounted on the front of the camper. It's large enough, and positioned just right so I can see it from my rear view mirror in the vehicle. As I back the camper on to the Anderson leveler, I watch the bubble level, and know when it's level. I don't have to keep getting out of the vehicle to check (I camp alone a lone, so no one with that can monitor it). I also got some heavy duty wheel chocks made of hard rubber. I had a problem once that the cheap plastic wheel chock slipped on me (luckily it was while I was unhooking, and my vehicle stopped it, without any more damage than a minor scratch).
@TravelswithDelaney4 жыл бұрын
The rubber must be something new they are including with the newer Andersen levelers. That is good to know.

The Rhino flex 20 foot hose works really well for my R-Pod, which has separated grey tank and black tank. I can separate the two and use the second half to dump the black tank, then flush it, then reconnect again to dump the grey tank.

So funny you now have the Hughes Watchdog - as I just received mine from Hughes...although I decided to get the in-trailer mounted version. The Progressive Industries seems to be almost the default response when people talk about RV EMS devices, but I really liked the feature set on the Watchdog...particularly the replaceable surge protector and the ability to see the full status of the Watchdog on your phone. Nice video and solid recommendations.

I reached out to Progressive Industries when I was looking to upgrade to see what they recommended but they never responded to me. SO I reached out to our friends at Princess Craft RV and they recommended the Hughes and I am glad I listened to them.

I see you have a Lance. How does the Tab compare to the Lance. Is the hook up about the same. Does your truck pull the Lance ok. Have you tried it in the hills. I really like the Lance and think you made a great choice.
@TravelswithDelaney4 жыл бұрын
We are loving the Lance and feel that its quality is on par with NuCamp. We did upgrade our tow vehicle from a Tacoma to a Tundra last week. The Tacoma did a good job towing but we were maxed out on weight. WIth the Tundra, we won't have to worry about what we pack.

What would you recommend for an internal surge protector that is wired and on the inside to activate?
@TravelswithDelaney3 жыл бұрын
There are pro’s and con’s of an internal. The internal is nice because you don’t have to worry about it being stolen and its one less thing to carry and setup. The down side is if you sell or trade your RV, most likely you’ll have to purchase another one since it is hard wired where a portable one can stay with you.

I will be getting a class B. How do you know when it is level?
@TravelswithDelaney4 жыл бұрын
We just use a small bubble level and I use the frame of the trailer to check for level. I have seen other RV KZbinrs use a device called Level Mate Pro that connects to a smart phone to tell you if you are level. We have not invested in one of those yet.
@christinebrigham47324 жыл бұрын
Travels with Delaney i have one of those. I guess I can put it on the dashboard and see pretty quickly whether it is level.
