Hi , thank you for the review. I am thinking to buy either the Tamron SP 24-70mm F2.8 G2 or Samyang 85mm F1.4 AF Canon RF. Would Tamron at 70mm give me similar image quality that Samyang will give me at 85mm. Thank you

Hi Ben. I have EF 24-105 and paired with EOS RP with adapter, it is heavy and kibd of bulky. Do you any advantages for me to chage it into RF 24-105mm? How's the RF version different than the EF? Pls share your thoughts. Thanks!

The RF version would allow for full use of the RP's sensor as it crops down automatically when using an adapter. This would improve low light performance and overall image quality.

​@@Johnathonisnotcoolpretty sure that's only true for EF-S lenses and not EF which are full frame lenses. With the adapter you generally have slower continuous shooting speed and IS capabilities.

I can no longer get the Samyang 85mm F 1.4 RF lens for my Canon R5. Thanks to A-Hole Canon's banning on 3rd party manufacturers of RF lenses.

Great review...! You have my subs, haha. I think it is worth considering the Tamron 15-30mm F2.8 for ultra wide lens. Many reviewers thought this is a superb lens for FF altough it is a bulky one, not to mention it is a front-heavy when attach to R/RP/R5/R6 with mount adapter. Pls share your thoughts.

Hi! How about new RF 85mm F2 macro? Its affordable, unlike 85mm F1,2. But what kind of disadvantages there are? Why its 1/3 cheaper?

The 85mm F2 looks very good, and definitely worth considering. The main difference in performance between it and the 85mm f1.2, is that it won't be as sharp and the bokeh and background blur will not be as good. Other than that great lens at an affordable price with macro capabilities to.

The Samyang 85mm is a great lens especially for the cost. I had one person comment on my review video saying he didn't have good focus when using his R5 with it, but I have not experienced this at ll, it makes me wonder if it maybe was a fault with that particular lens. Superb image quality though at a great price.

Having RF 15 35 mm ,video is stunning but with gimbal it is tiresome due to heavy weight.Tried with RF 35 mm F1:8 , just fine.

Wow, I didn't know about the 70-300. The price is actually affordable for a zoom lens. Being on a tight budget, I was thinking of starting with the 35 1.8 and the 70-300 for the R6 as my first fullframe camera.

Great choice! The 70-300mm is still the zoom lens I use, I have not upgraded because it's a great lens. The 35mm is definitely worth the money and a great prime lens for the R6

Great information, just suggestion to perhaps have better quality of footage, seems odd to talk about great quality of lenses and not have good video itself ( over exposed , shaking )

Thanks for watching, unfortunately the day of filming I had forgot my ND filter and it was harsh sunlight 😔 the shaking was to much coffee 😄

The budget RF lenses are inferior to those of Sony and Nikon. And the lack of weather sealing is a no go.
