Actually, the first of many people to say ''avoid buying too many school supplies"" always looking at studygrams and wishing I had all the things but then im just like money don't grow on trees. And I get so de-motivated but I've realised it's actually not all about the stationary it's about the effectiveness of the study. It really is just a picture perfect illusion and ain't nobody got time for that no offense to y'all.

K Singh That's so true, I wasted so much money on stationary last year because of all the charming bullet journals, stationarity and stuff I have seen on the internet, and it was one of the worst decision's of my life. I shouldn't waste so much money on that because it was not necessary, also it was taking so much time to organize them. This year I decided to become more minimalist person and I am glad I did that.

so true! for my exams, all my friends made these beautiful, aesthetic notes while i tried to make my notes simple and effective. because i focused so much on being able to study and understand effectively, i was able to get a 99% on my exam!

I wish this would get pinned tbh . I think I’m more minimalist than I used to be and it makes studying a lot easier . People figure out what they need I think for me that is a few mildliners, a binder per subject, some pencils and some pens in a few different colours, as well as paper and dividers and flash cards .

Keisha Hidalgo Riego Mercadejas i moved to a whole new country and they speak a different language... I mean I use it at home I know the really basics of the language (for writing) But I didnt know anything else. So my grades dropped a lot. From 70-80% to 40-30% (not all but most) and I’m struggling. 1 and a half years in im finally just getting used to it. My grades are slowly coming up.... My tip is to do the best you can. if you fail thats okay. Work 10000x harder next time, if you tried your hardest and still didn’t get the result you wanted, then take a breath and try a different way of studying. And if it still doesnt work ask for *help* you don’t know how much easier it is to admit that you don’t know what the eff is going on and need help. HOPE THIS HELPS ❤️❤️

Mistake; Thinking stress was a bad thing, it’s not. It’s actually your body preparing you for your challenge, even though you MAY want to vomit. This is coping you for if something similar happens like the stressor again, you will be prepared and know how to get through it multiple times again. :)

a mistake i made last quarter was falling into a deep depression that i was unaware/ failed to acknowledge i was going through. i avoided all homework and extra curric. as a senior in college, i urge the younger students to seek help if you feel or recognize you are not your usual self. typically, your tuition covers some or almost all psychological therapy sessions. your mental health matters ❤️

I mad a huge mistake by not copying my notes, now I have an entire 80 page notebook of various notes to copy in my my multiple notebooks (one per subject) Now I’m in a huge mess and I have something like 20 tests in the upcoming 6 weeks and I haven’t done anything! i am so sorry i'm too late for you D: i took all my notes in one notebook but on separate pages so i could just rip them out later and put them in their respective binders. that way i didn't have to copy them or carry around a bunch of notebooks all the time. best of luck with your future studies!

Alice Brambilla The way I do it, is to concise the info into flash cards using Quizlet. It takes a while but it’s worth it, however you must do regular revision for it to be effective. Paper flash cards are ineffective as the focus is usually on making them aesthetic rather than useful and once the pile gets too high, you’ll get easily discouraged.

I started college last week and something I QUICKLY realized is that you really need to be on top of all of your assignments! I second avoiding getting complacent about your assignments but would also like to add that you should avoid becoming the student who uses their planner for one week and then stops using it the rest of the year. It's so easy to forget what assignments are due when you have so many classes!
