Totally agree on the Aerodyne... used to see them all the time on craigslist for $650- $750 and they totally rock. The exports with the binding and no pickguard look so sick plus immaculate japanese fit and finish as always. A kick-ass "pro" bass to be sure.

To me the Geddy Lee mij jazz bass is one of the best 1k ish basses I have ever played and punches way above 1k

Last week I bought a 2020 fender american standard as body natural finish for $900, the only thing I don't like is the poly finish. Great list thank you

My first jazz bass was/is a domestic Japan jb-62 in “ us gunmetal blue”. Kind of a mix between lake placid blue and Inca silver. Totally agree they are incredible basses. Great video, love the hidden gem content

They’re great, but always buy Japanese and you’ll miss out on great American made guitars.

I always buy MIA and MIM Fenders Never Japanese it's a marketing con
@LucasJRiceАй бұрын
It’s not, they are great. I can’t imagine what marketing con it could be anyway considering Fender refuses to sell anything good from Japan in America.

When you’re buying vintage guitars do you ask about truss rod functionality? I’m looking at a local listing for an ‘87 LP Junior and it’s got a good setup but the owner doesn’t know if the truss rod works. I’m thinking about risking it.

I like the Epiphone Thunderbird’64. Not for everyone sound-wise or anyone that can’t handle neck dive, but a great bang for the buck.

What do you think of the new Player II basses? Mexican made but I’ve always found the quality to be great.

My fellow Young bass players, don’t get fender’s , they play and sound crummy, get MUSIC MAN , YAMAHA, or WARWICK, save your money , work overtime , you will love them. Fender basses and guitars have a FARTY tone and Playability to them, this guy is just trying to sell you his stuff.
@aflashfloodofgearАй бұрын
I think enough players have made great music with Fender guitars and basses to prove that's not a very accurate sentiment. Also, we happily stock plenty of Yamaha and Musicman instruments at the shop, so that's a stretch. We stock the stuff I enjoy, so yes I am going to put effort into having items I would recommend in our inventory.

You dont know what you’re talking about. Chances are you have a farty amp. I mostly play Fenders and they all sound great, but I don’t buy anything cheap. Almost everything sounds good through my heritage SVT and 810
