I'm Dutch an have been an Ajax fan all my life. I was so sad to see him leave in 93, especially when he was miserable in Milan... As a Newcastle fan, you can't help but admire what he done to our defence, in my opinion, there's only one other player around at that time who could do that, and that was Gazza, the one against Scotland Euro '96, made a fool of Colin Hendry and the Scottish defence. Nah #1 was harder as the ball was coming over his shoulder and to control the ball with the pace it was coming in at then flick it over the defender and then finish it. Personal preference really.

The video is 'Top 5 Bergkamp goals for Arsenal', not the Netherlands. The goal against Newcastle is a better goal than the one against Argentina, but the one against Argentina meant so much more. It got the Netherlands through to the semi-finals and boy, will the Dutch never forget that.

Those were all fantastic but his best goal was in the 1998 World Cup against Argentina. DeBoer's pass on that play was awesome but Bergkamp catching the ball on his foot, dribbling it between the defender's legs and then blasting it past the goalie was pure gold.

Goal #2 is way far much better than #1 . What Bergkamp did in the #2 was UNREAL , i never saw something like this before. The link up between Pires and Bergkamp in their time together in Arsenal is second to none and has been too easily forgotten. I only wish the Newcastle and Leicester goals at the end of this video had been scored at home so that they could get the roar from the crowd that they deserved. I hope we see similar partnerships form from the squad Arsenal have at the moment when it is more mature, and while I can't get enough of RVP scoring, would be good to see more from the others :)
