It's important to keep in mind that the RF 15-35mm lens is f/2.8 and not f/4, which means there's a lot more glass in there, which drives up the cost of the lens. I am using the 16-35 f/4 just like yours on my EOS RP, but there actually isn't really an equivalent RF lens out there yet since all of the RF L lenses are F/2.8 or faster for now except for the 24-105. Edit: I also got an L-bracket instead of a full cage because I wanted to maintain a bit of the lightness and compactness of the camera. I use it primarily for still photography so I got one with an Arca-Swiss tripod mount built in so that I don't have to use a tripod plate on the camera at all. And yeah, I bought 4 extra knockoff batteries for mine too. 😂

I was actually interested in getting a 70D several years ago but I was broke. Finally had the money to get a $1k camera and decided to go with the RP instead. I'm kind of glad I was broke back then because now I have a newer camera and it's full frame (newer compared to the 70D).

Which shall I get as a first camera for doing blogs, tech reviews, family videos, beginner photography. My budgets is 1000 dollars so I don’t mind getting the m50 or EOS RP, so which would you advise ?
@gregtoope3 жыл бұрын
The bonus of the RP is that you have a camera that you can grow with. Its a bit bigger, but it gets you into the RF line of lenses, which is where Canon is going. The M50 is nice and small but if I had to choose I would still buy the RP ( I actually have both and use my RP way more than my M50)

There are 3 different canon adapters or so. The basic one, the one with the ring, and another one that allows you to put filters inside
@jeremiahschuler39774 жыл бұрын
One thing to consider is that your rings make a lot of noise
@emil.havstein3 жыл бұрын
Cinestyle just makes it have more noise man, it brightens ip the shadows, I would much rather just use the neutral profile from the camera
@gregtoope3 жыл бұрын
most log profiles do the exact same thing by upping the ISO of the camera to ISO 400 and some even up to ISO 800. Modern cameras have no issues with those ISO levels. And I use the Cinestyle profile on everyone of my canon Cameras (M50, RP, R, and R6) with great results.

If you want to use EF lenses then why not continue using DSLR? Just get 6D II instead of RP.
@gregtoope4 жыл бұрын
easy answer. the RP allows for both RF and EF lenses. So if you have existing EF lenses then you can use them. If you find a good deal on EF lenses you can get them. If you want to move forward and buy RF lenses you can. Buying into a DSLR now has no access to the RF system, which is where Canon is investing all their lens resources.. Having a camera that can use both formats is much better
