What absolute nonsense. The Swisstool, sure. The poweraccess deluxe, maybe, the mossy oak, is a stretch. The centredrive's footage includes the leatherman wave. The Arc is an overpriced show piece. A magnacut knife does not justify a 230 USD (293-312 USD if you're outside the US) in the current market. No mention of Roxon, Daicamping, Multper, Rocktol, etc. Wacky nonsense.

I've had more multitools than I can count, including the ARC currently. It's the best multitool I've ever owned. The tool set is perfect, and the blade is a cut above the rest. You may not like the price, and on that I agree with you, but don't downplay the unit just because of that. It's about aa good a multitool that's ever been offered. Plus, the "free series" tech makes it better than the Wave Plus as well.

Also, just to add to that, I also have the Roxon Flex. It's been sitting in my drawer, lol. You can have it for a good price if you're interested. That kind of tells you what I think about it.

Magnets are wonderful until you have to work around heckloads of swarf. Also, the proprietary bit system drives me to spare. It's like Apple with the lightning connector before the EUSB-C judgement. Sure, you can use it with standard bits as long as you buy this extra thing. Leatherman used to be an absolute bastion of great craftsmanship, innovation, and convenience. Nowadays, they seem to be championing form over function, sub-par quality control, and replacement over repair ... just like apple. Cheers for the offer, but my flex is functioning just fine (although buying replacement wire cutters outside the US seems difficult) and is about to gain a baby sibling/companion with a ¼ inch bit driver and D2 blade (which will never get used outside of home anyway because Australian knife laws are bizarre and disposable utility blades exist). P.s Nextool does a version of their flagship with 9mm snap-off blade holder and craft blade/scalpel attachments are becoming for frequent. Any thoughts? Edit: almost forgot about Hvac budget's spiel about not using super expensive multitools because warranty doesn't cover things getting lost/stolen.
