The only cockpits I don't really like are the Anaconda and FDL. Conda because you have no upwards or downwards visibility, FDL because of that _goddamn_ window bar in the middle.

I love adder's interiors. I had it at the begining and I bought one around 1400 hrs just engineer it and run data currier missions. Yeah I know my dolphin jumps twice as the adder, but I still love that green button on the middle consol :)

The Beluga cockpit is one of my favs too. One of the best views in my fleet. If only that bright arc would change brightness as the lighting varies. It's too static, like it's lit from within or something.

Forget the larger ships (including the Eagle). Get into a ship launched fighter in VR. The sides press in on your shoulders and having the HOTAS outside of the physical constraints of the cockpit just feels weird, but blasting around a Hazres in support of the mothership is simply exhilarating! Bugger the money - multicrew combat is the best thing about the game.

I really love the chieftain cockpit cause it reminds me of a modern fighter jets slightly, but if I had to pick my favourite it would be corvette cause only that and the conda have that "I can look at my ship while you look at my ship" view, other than that the mamba

I actually quite like the Mamba trench. It's weird, but pretty neat. I also like the Vulture's cockpit. It's like a mini space cathedral. It doesn't come across on a 2D monitor, but in VR that ceiling is quite high.

Best cockpit so far, I'd say Type6. I've only really used the trading ships + Hauler and Python, and the Type6's well centered (vertically and horizontally) seating position just pleases me.

Fer De Lance has a good cockpit as you have pretty good vision and it is not in the front of the ship which saves the canopy. The seating position doesn't affect me at all

Next top 5: Best squadron ships. There are a bunch of 2 and even 3 seaters for a NPC wanker or buddy wanker to control your Pewpews or flying cockroach. So which ships are the best to fly with an other dead horse or 2?

For the swimming mammals, Beluga is smaller than Orca but bigger than Dolphin. I think the name 'Beluga' should be reserved for some future Saud Kruger medium ship. So, what to name the existing 'Beluga'? How about after the largest toothed whale, the Sperm Whale! :)

the courier cockpit bothers me, its like a narrow sterile hospital corridor, i love the cobra cockpit, its design and soft lighting make it seem cosy, i also like the python cockpit because it reminds me of the interior of a klingon bird of prey for some reason

IMHO, the best cockpits are open up&down ones, like Asp and T9. The absolute worst are Anaconda and Corvette (because half of view is blocked by ship nose).

There is absolutely NOT too much space on Clipper cockpit, or even Cutter for that matter. As all TRUE (=not you) Imperials know, there has to enough room for all the Imperial slav...ehm...service people to navigate on that cockpit area too, to serve their master!

Stations on asteroids and the "large" city-stations on planets actually really awesome after thousand of thousands regular stations But there's anyway smth around 5-6 type of stations i guess I would say Aisling worth it mb cause they afford you not guns but shields

@@elrexet6908 People seem to like packhounds quite a bit (maybe just because they remind everyone of bullet/missile hell, like Robotech etc) .. and yeahm, those asteroid stations are very cool; thought i'd seen them all, and then went to my first asteroid station and was blown away. But of course, E:D has always been a gorgeous game.. Been away for a few months now though; hit that burnout level and needed to take a break :)

the only category that matters. my biggest complaint with cockpits and such in this game is how massive they are. i think frontier should have sat down and reviewed actual cockpits in aircrafts of varying sizes for inspiration on there designs. every time i'm in one of these ships (especially the medium and large ones) I cant ignore how much extra wasted space there is. especially when you go into free cam to look at your ship and your character is dwarfed by how big it is. Like it looks like they were taking more inspiration from naval ships bridges than aircraft cockpits, and since there is nobody else in the cockpit with you 99% of the time it just feels empty and a waste of space. this may be a little divisive but i think the easiest solution would be if frontier scaled down the ships a small amount to to make them much tighter. you shouldnt have ships with cockpits with the same surface area as your house.

Not gonna lie the eagle is so far my favourite ship in terms of looks all round shame it's just particularly not very good at anything I love the look of the viper 2 well externally anyway inside it's just so minimalist shame I prefer the smaller ships in general bust just can't get them.to be good at anything and have been griding in a viper MK4 to save up for well I'm not sure I've yet to choose the FDL looks and seems interesting but I just don't know

Also remember not to fly through Jangore or 160 SOAR roleplayers will relentless gank you for no reason. The 2 run ins I've had with your squadron were no better then the seal clubbers circling Deciat. Rather pay the premium on a Chieftain then see you get more territory imo. Its like 2 extra Low temperature diamonds?
