@EZ-AllenWrench13 күн бұрын
I honestly think Darton and Elite are the most overlooked manufacturers on the planet. Big name guys give them no love but if you're truly unbiased and look at what you get vs what you spend it's pretty cut and dry.
@guardianminifarm800514 күн бұрын
Many thanks. Glad to see all the great products from these manufacturers. I got the Bear Alaskan XT and it is fantastic, especially for the money. I chose it over the Whitetail Maxx. But that Maxx was sweet. The EKO had a bit harsher draw on the back end at the higher poundage than the XT and the XT was more "balanced" IMO. My son is looking very seriously at the new Whitetail INT.
@ArcheryTalkVideo14 күн бұрын
At the price, I don't think you an go wrong with the Whitetail Maxx or INT. The shoot great and are faster than several bows with higher rated speeds.

@ArcheryTalkVideo14 күн бұрын
I shot two of the new Obsession bows. From my limited experience at the show, they are looking good. The draw cycle feels way to good on the UltraMag 360 for me to believe the advertised speed, but I'm looking forward to finding out. All the UltraMag bows are crazy light in the hand. And surprisingly not crazy expensive. They have got my attention for sure and I think I'm getting in one for two for long-term testing.

Placing Bowtech at number 5 is wild. I understand Darton because the 35 ATA bow seems amazing. But Bear ?! In technology, tunability, weight, and innovation, Bowtech blows all the rest out of the water. Price is the only downside. How could you possibly put this other bows over the Bowtech. I dont even shoot a Bowtech, I shoot Mathews but is wild that you placed the most tunnable, lightest innovative bow dead last on your list. No honest feature based comparison of this new bows would result on that Bowtech being last. You almsot trew all logic out the window making this list or your seeking brownie points with some bow company. At this point im surprised Obsession bows were your number one. So silly.
@ArcheryTalkVideo14 күн бұрын
I'm a big fan of Bowtech bows. And one just arrived for long-term testing. The Whitetail INT gets the nod for me because of its combination of value/speed/draw cycle. Nobody else can touch that.
@brentbandy356614 күн бұрын
He probably put Bowtech #5 because how petty they are if someone releases a technology similar to theirs. However, they don’t see a problem with ripping off other companies and acting like it’s something they created on their own (center mass and whatever they’re calling their magnesium riser).
@Practice2Perfection14 күн бұрын
@@brentbandy3566 The question at hand is about the product. Not the manufacturer of said product. No other bow on the market has applied all of these new technologies together in one bow. That's not arguable. I dont shoot their bows because I have a bias towards Mathews. But deniying that they produce the most feauture rich, technically integrated bow, is absurd and silly. By virute of that fact alone, how can an honest professional observer, place them last on a list of bows that don't even include other major competitors? The lack of honesty and integrity bother me about the content of the video. Bowtech is very cutthroat as a company, but you bet your ass, Mathews is not any different when it comes to protecting intellectual property and enforcement of patent law. I dont like Bowtech the company but placing them at bottom of a tier list with bows that most guys haven't even heard of is dishonest and wild.
@Tughill169914 күн бұрын
@@brentbandy3566 i dont disagree but magnesium riser was patented a long time ago and it expired thats why they all using it now. its all just magnesium they just making shit up to sell . bowtech has allways been kinda pushing things and making it kinda easier but sure there is all kinds of shit going on-who ever makes a legit patent they do deserve to protect it. i dont like any of the companies anymore do shoot hoyt just cause of carbon and that they dont mess with crossbow shit but they far from saints also

I mean...both are mag riser bows that basically weigh the same and one is $600 less. Would I rather have the Bowtech if the price was identical? Yes. But the Martin was very surprising. Also...this is very subjective in a far from ideal testing environment.

I hope alot of people see this anything man made can break but the company is only good as its warranty never had trouble with hoyt mathews or elite
@adamballinger135814 күн бұрын
The price point on the Bear is the only real good thing ,its got 2007 era bowtech style cams on it ,the limb pockets are not precise or rigid at all , its a cast riser not fully machined, compression molded limbs not laminated . Basically the only upgrade to the bear besides the cute picatinny rail is the fact they actually used sealed bearings in the cams instead of white teflon bushings . The Darton however is actually a very high quality bow! The bear flagship bow is a entry level bow .
@ArcheryTalkVideo14 күн бұрын
The Whitetail INT isn't designed to compete with flagship bows. But for the price it's amazing. And I can tell you that in both draw cycle and speed, it beat several bows that were twice as expensive. It definitely won't win when it comes to fit and finish, but performance-to-dollar ratio is fantastic.

LOL! People getting bent out of shape because someone actually rejects the idea that spending 150%-200% more on a bow than they actually have to might not actually be worth it when it's all said and done. The people griping that their bow company of choice's top end rig wasn't listed are the same people who will be selling those rigs they just bought in less than a year... because they didn't shoot any better with that one than they did their prior one.

No offense to you brother but it's like why are people even going there when they've already released every product I don't understand why is there even a archery trade show anymore if companies are going to release their products right before Christmas of all things so therefore nobody wants to buy the 24 bow they want to buy the 25 bow so then all these archery shops are left with the 2024 bows it's just insane bro the whole format of archery is going down the damn toilet
