I am a beginner grower of 24 months. I grow only Auto Flowers Indoor Tent. I use GREAT LAKES WATER ONLY SOIL. I use Root Riot for initial seed planting. Transfer to a 5gal pot after seeds germinate. Prior to transfering I add Azos Exreme Gardening & Mkos Pure Mycorhizal Inoculant to the soil. I top dress with Fox Farm Bone Meal. And I utilize LST. I also bottom water my plants in fabric pots to minimize pest. So far so good.

Do you add any perlite to the Happy Frog if so how much? I just added like 10% perlite to one pot and then 20% to the other not sure if 20% is too much though it kinda looks like it lol

Im a truck driver who has hauled and delivered all these soils before and after they are bagged and i can tell you that they are all in giant piles outside in a dirt yard and a guy on a backhoe scoops it and dumps it into a machine with a conveyor belt and they aren't protected from pests or weather at all unfortunately they just spray it with amendments and bag it.

Here is my Recipe. 40% Happy Frog 40% Ocean Forest 10% Perlite 10% Bio Char Prior to filling my Pots, I dump everything in my plastic Tub with about a couple cups of Diatomaceous Earth for IPM / Silica. I mix it all together and let it ALL DRY for a week or two to make sure any Fungus Gnats or other pests will die off or GTFO! 😂 I hope that helps someone. 🤘

Oklahoma here...burnin a ball bat of "Daily Grape". I've been runnin synthetics for 4 yrs, and currently halfway thru a run of "purple ice water"&"lemon t.i.t.s." but I've decided to try organics and create a soil on my next run. Great vid! Keep it Irie brah...SUPER SOIL

This run, I’ve used roots organics lush with icanorganics, which is similar to Gaia green. And recharge ever 2 weeks, just water and this has been the easiest, most beautiful run I’ve ever had. My go to has been build a soil, but roots is winning me over. Great bud brother

I really can recommend Canna BioTerra. It's a soil and coco mix. Performs much better harvest wise than pure soil but also tastes better than growing on pure coco.

I mix 30 percent happy frog and 70 percent promix hp with some extra perlite, with 10 scoops pridelands organic vegg, 7 scoops pridelands organic bloom, extra extreme mychoriza and 10 percent gaia green worm castings for my auto flowers and it's perfect for whole stage. Try it!!!

Tilth soil is an amazing living soil, Galenas (cultivator in Michigan that is highly regarded) uses this for their organic living soil and its $25/cu ft or roughly 7 gallons/$25. May need to top dress once in flower but water only apart from that. Build a Soil 3.0 is also a phenomenal living/organic soil but $50/cu ft is steep with their shipping but they have an amendment mix for 3.0 recipe that you can add to soil as well to save $$ and still get quality

Baccto Premium Potting soil from my local nursery... 40 Liter bag for $14. I have been reusing it for 9 grow cycles now (perpetual grow ) and it has not let me down yet!. Not wasting $$ on soil Again. Keep it simple. Dont Fix it ,if its not broken.

I use foxfarm ocean Forest. But I do the Cyclops method with Light Warrior in the very center for my seedlings. This gives the roots time to grow before they hit the hotter ocean Forest.

Self made super soil is always best If you know what youre doing and make it correctly for your style of growing, environment, watering habits, genetics, stage of growth, etc. If you gotta go with bagged and bought then light warrior is my favorite for seeds and clones until they get some decent roots. Then jump them into roots organics soil. Its called a soil but its mostly coco based with other ammendments so you get the best of both coco and soil.

So im planning my first legit grow, im trying to do a water only grow. Im trying roots organic with natures living soil concentrate mixed in. Do you have any experience with this combo? Trying to decide if i want to do the living soil method or the super soil method or maybe a hybrid with mixing 3/4 of the pound in the bottom and then 1/4lb in the upper 2/3 of the pot(minus the middle of the pot to avoid burn) any help is appreciated!

Excluding a homemade supersoil, I think the best bag soil is always going to be biased. There are lots of good premium soils. Oftentimes, availablity or cost affect someone's soil choices. Luckily, I live near two grow shops and have tried lots of different premium soils. By far, Build-A-Soil 3.0 is the best that I've grown with. It's costly up front, but you continue to amend and reuse for maybe 5-6 grows. Honestly, just start growing.

If you're going to reuse your soil what's the point in Ocean Forrest? You get your 1st feeding free? If you put FFOF in a 5 gal pot it's depleted in 3 weeks back to plain soil with no food. Why not just Happy frog & amend?

I wonder if anyone uses tree bark in their soil, which is good for mushrooms 🍄 not plants, the very, very best soil is TOP POT soil because it is permanent indoor soil and has no tree bark and Top Pot soil/type soil can be kept forever, impossible to overwater, but is heavy?
