I admit, this list has been full of surprises, most of them quite pleasant. Did not expect Kiwi Ears' Dolce to upstage their Cadenza on this list. It's definitely interesting that the Truthear Zero maintains its no. 2 spot on your sub-$50 list. And somehow I'm surprised and not surprised that the Simgot made the no.1 spot. It really is a remarkable time to see so much competition for IEMs in this price range.

I love the Z300. Great quality build, sounds awesome for the price, sounds even better with eartip and cable upgrades. Very well tuned by you. PR2 has terrible QC and they changed your tuning with the new versions that don't have the mesh. KZ is terrible company. I hope you don't do any more collabs with them in the future. In fact, they should take your name off the IEM, since it's no longer what was first promised or advertised. No amount of money is worth working with a shady company like KZ.

QC is fine, but the fact that they just randomly change the tuning in their IEMs for no reason (ESX, CRA and now PR2) is just completely scummy. You know that people are going to pick up on this stuff. Guess they don’t care though, and the money keeps rolling in for them 😪

@@Ratchet98 QC is not fine. Mine came with a non-working left ear piece brand new out of the box. KZ is just a horrible company with bad QC and terrible customer service.

I listen qkz x hbb khan most of the time and takeout with me everywhere, If qkz x hbb 80% takes my listening session other headphone/ iems Focal Clear, Mest MkII, Clairvoyance, 64 audio A6 covers the rest 20% respectively. What a result; 40$ against 1500$ and can take the cake. interesting.

Well I have the ea500, is the ew200 really that close to it? If so that's really impressive, for 40usd instead of 80+ for the ea500 and with the same-ish sound quality? Prices for good audio are going down, and that's an incredible thing, like the quintet at around 200usd instead of the 400+ I was expecting!

Glad to see Cadenza on this list :) It's been my beater IEM for a while now and I can't find many faults with it, maybe not the brightest treble, but it's still a stretch. It sounds great to me.

EW200 with a better driver than the EA500??? Man, that's insane. Simgot's focus on the most critical component seems to be paying off. Not upset I got the EA500 either; really like how the removable nozzles make DiY tuning mods easier to do. And its super cool that they've been sending out tuning kits for this specific purpose. Can tell Simgot is run by passionate people with their finger on the community's pulse.

I saw the sounddemo, they sound quite similar in sound signature, but the ew200 driver sounds better for slower music and female vocals.

I am relatively new to iems, but this segment is really hopping, and really enjoyable too. Value-wise, it's through the roof. I have my Timeless and Dioko and Starfield, but more often than not, I am listeing to the Quark at work with the Chu, Project Red, Z300, and Salnotes Zero. I just ordered the Qudelix with the dongle which is also in this price bracket. Fun times.

I probably need to get the EW200, the EA500 was amazing. The Cadenza is good, but the bass seemed a bit thin to me. I haven't heard the Dolce or the Zero Blue, so I can't speak to them. The QKZxHBB is one of my favorites, and the Hola would beat the Cadenza for me.

I enjoy the thumpy nature of the zero's bass, but bass guitars tend to disappear in any rock-adjacent music, due to the tuning. Love the z300 for the quality and comfort vs. price. Definitely a darker set so I don't use it all the time, but that also makes it easy to wear for a while without thinking about it.

After getting the Moondrop Quarks DSP, I started to think, "Is tuning everything?" And then I got the Simgot EA500 and realized, "Absolutely not, the driver is still important." That Simgot frequency response suggests it had limp bass, and it emphatically does not. Just picked up the Sennheiser IE600, and it legit sounds neutral despite that crazy graph. I can hear how the frequency response could look like that on the graph, but when I'm just listening to TV or most music genres, it still sounds "neutral". The frequency response optimization game isn't ever "solved" when there's so much to adjust with the driver and the shell acoustics.

Totally legit rant, thank you! How do you find EW200 in terms of long listening sessions? Enough bass? Same pinna gain as EW100? I find the former to be a bit harsh in mids and treble and lacking bass definition.

Wanted to try getting the z300 or the zero red, but currently saving up for a good desktop amp. I remember that a few years ago that the general consensus was to just save up and get a good set instead of getting multiple cheap sets with mediocre sound as sketchy QC. But companies like moondrop, truthear and more recently simgot seem to have turned the tide. My chu that i got way back when it was released still works fine!

Its probably his test in music. if u look at the sounddemos of the ew200 it definitely sounds better for instrumental and female vocal music since its a lot slower. The EA500 is great for EDM and rock music. since the drivers are faster.
