Love your channel. I took the Del Radomske School of Log Building (Okanagan School, of Log Building) course in 1997 and I like the way you teach and come across on cam. Keep it up ;-)

Most frequent chainsaw moves: 1. Pull starter cord repeatedly with choke on. 2. Pull starter cord repeatedly with choke off. 3. Swear & rest. 4. Pull starter cord repeatedly, varying between priming & pulling cord with choke on & off. 5. Praise God when the saw finally starts and you can begin work.

Really appreciate that you turned down the volume during cuts. Thanks!

Yes, the saws are definitely too loud for the videos...trying to do this consistently with power tools! Thanks for the feedback.

Glad you found us. You’ll enjoy the online course...Dave works with professionally produced video so that the instruction is very clear. These log talks are fun though, and good way to pass on his passion for the trade. Good luck w your build!

How do you avoid catching the dangerous upper tip while going the cross cut like that? I've never used a chainsaw but I'm hoping to learn as much as I can before I start
@bcschooloflogbuilding43854 жыл бұрын
As long as you are using more downward pressure than forward pressure, the bottom of the tip will be doing the cutting and you will be safe from kickback. Good luck and stay safe!
