I really enjoyed the video. As a backup, the LCR is so tempting but I owned a Taurus polymer 357 several years ago. It was punishing to shoot so, I didn't keep it long. Good to hear about the S&W warranty. I have to say that my best warranty experience was with Kel-Tec, or which I own 2 of the P-11's. My house burned in '03. All I found of my P-11 was the slide, with the belt clip attached. I called Kel-Tec for something or other several years later. During the conversation, I mentioned the pistol I lost in the fire. The woman on the phone asked me to mail them the slide. A couple weeks later, I had a brand new P-11, with my original serial number, and all the accessories that I had purchased. Can't beat that at all.

Plastic striker-fired guns are all the rage, but revolvers will always have a place. It's too bad that so many new shooters will never experience the satisfying action of a good wheel gun. Thanks for showing these affordable guns.

Man, I could not agree with you more. Sitting here watching TV with my wife and playing with my .38 and .44. They reek of quality - heft, tightness, feel (S&Ws), etc. I've posted in other threads that I consider revolvers to be heirlooms. Many will argue that point, but I stand on mine. Oh, and they tend to go boom extremely reliably. Meanwhile, the plastic ones are in the safe.
@BERETTA9mmUSA3 жыл бұрын
Totally affordable Revolvers, and call them the cheap Revolvers was a tongue-in-cheek kind of funny time for young Beretta and I. The sub $500 Revolvers for the most part are excellent in quality and reliability. I hope more young people enjoy these revolvers and this video helps them pick one out. 🥳👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Beretta Sr.

Revolvers are the best, I love semis too. 1911s and Striker fired "plastic" guns, but there's something about an all steel 357. Or 44. And I certainly don't feel undergunned, speed strips can be relatively quick with training.

It's actually nice to see someone say nice things about Taurus. I have a Taurus .357 mag and a Taurus .44 mag and really like them, and I hate the gun snobs who still bad mouth the brand. Maybe Taurus wasn't the best many years back, but they have gotten a lot better than they were in the past.

I bought the Tracker in 2021, for $500. It was 7 months before I could find .357 ammo. The price point was excellent. It's stainless. A little heavy for concealed carry, but, I hike in snake and pig country. If you want a.38, spend a little more and get the .357. Maybe you don't need it, but it is an option. Also, I started wearing suspenders when I carry this or my .45. I can keep my belt looser and my pants don't sag.

Got my taurus 605 for $350 total with tax and all other state fee's. I have many revolvers ranging from cheap .22's all the way up to the "cream of the crop" Colt python and anaconda. The 605 is by far one of my favorite revolvers and I highly recommend it. I can personally testify to putting over 2000 rounds through it of both .38 and 357 magnum and it still functions like its brand new. If you dont have one in your collection and are looking for a reliable, easy shooting, accurately shooting snub nose this is the ticket. I swapped out the grip for a laser grip with built in laser sight and put some of my wifes orange nail polish on the front sight and that's about it. I use this as my EDC backup pistol in an ankle holster and in the unlikely event my S&W shield 40 fails me, I trust my life to this little guy.

The Ruger LCR is excellent, and it's available in 327, an oddball but VERY effective caliber in between the power of a 38 and a 357. More hit than a 38, less recoil than a 357. I LOVE "wheel guns", always have. One of my frequent carry pieces is a S&W 38 with +P rounds, semi-wadcutters.

A quick follow up on our current situation regarding KZbin. Based on the view count of our most recent video, we think KZbin may not have sent it out to all of our Subscribers. That is pretty tricky KZbin. So a lot of you probably do not know that we were recently fully demonetized again. Shutting us off from any substantial revenue to support our channel and keep it running with great content. If you haven't checked out the video we posted yesterday on KZbin please do. Beretta Sr. and I go into everything, showing full Transparency (More than any Gun Channel ever!), as to our channel analytics, revenue, gross income, etc. You guys will be shocked! The future of our channel is completely uncertain, as we were demonetized by KZbin for making "harmful content". I don't know who feels harmed or has been harmed by one or any of our videos??? As you can imagine, creating the content we make is far too expensive, Guns, ammunition, targets, gas, time, and more. This would be a total loss, and undoable in the future by not gaining a certain amount of money back to cover expenditures and continue funding future content. This has been another difficult situation for us to work from putting the Channel together. As of right now, we have entered the waiting game to see if KZbin will show our channel mercy at the end of this 1 month suspension and reinstate us from their death-grip. This will very likely be a horrible process and if our channel appeal is rejected... without Patreon support we are completely dead in the water. My dad cannot fully fund the entire Channel by himself as his police career is winding down. Our sincerest gratitude goes out to the 2 people that sent us a Paypal tip and the 10 people who joined our Patreon account yesterday, we now have 42 Patreon supporters. So it's still a very small community, but it is a start. If you would like to support us, you can do so by joining our Patreon community or by directly donating to our Paypal account. Both links are listed below. We have made the decision that we will not be posting any videos at all to KZbin till this whole thing gets sorted out, so again Patreon supporters will be the only people getting access to new videos during this time and early access to new videos in the future. Beretta Sr. will be responding to most comments on Patreon, if you want to message him there, he is taking a 60 day break from KZbin's comment section going forward. You can support us by becoming a supporter of our Patreon, not a follower (there is a difference). At a bare minimum it's $1 dollar a month on Patreon guys. If you want our channel to be around in the future, this isn't a whole lot to ask for as we have been making content for our viewers to watch and enjoy for 10 years now. We look forward to seeing our true supporters on our Patreon and interacting there, stay safe. - www.patreon.com/join/BERETTA9mmUSA - www.paypal.me/BERETTA9mmUSA - kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqurkKx6rdaCY9U Respectfully, BERETTA9mmUSA

I love my little S&W 642. It’s a great cold weather carry gun because it fits great in a coat pocket which you can shoot right through if you need too. No safety mechanism to mess with, no hammer to snag. When it’s cold, you tend to walk around with your hands in your jacket or coat pickets which puts you at an immediate disadvantage because it adds a whole extra step if you draw from your concealed waist position. With the revolver, you can point and shoot without having to draw. Of course you optimally would prefer to draw so you could aim, but you may not have time. Especially when the event of having to use your weapon is very low which makes the situation even more stressful where you’re more prone to draw mistakes.

A friend recommended that we get a revolver vs. magazine type guns mostly because they don't have as many problems, jams. etc. What's your opinion?
@BERETTA9mmUSA3 жыл бұрын
@@mysticswalk3086 If you are not going to practice 2 or 3 times a year minimum and you have a pretty strong trigger finger to be able to pull the full double action trigger pull to be able to pull the trigger without pulling the Revolver off Target, then yes one of these Revolvers…. and I agree with your friend. If you are going to practice 3 or 4 times a year and you are physically strong enough to be able to pull the slide back on a Glock 19 Gen 5 without issue, then I say Buy the Glock 19 Gen 5, no question at all. The Glock 19 Gen 5 is a 9 mm just in case you did not know that. It is a world-class Pistol, and highly recommended by almost all professionals. I’m not only a KZbin personality, but I am a 21 year Deputy Sheriff, so I have a bit of knowledge to be able to speak to this topic. Good Luck! Beretta Sr.

@@BERETTA9mmUSA Thanks for replying! I have never fired a hand gun so I guess we can go to a firing range and rent a few to see what we think. I have fired rifles and of course BB guns. I do have strong hands. Back in the day I could hit a 2" pipe flag pole at like 40-50 ft with a BB gun. I also was into archery. Blue ribbon on that. I'll likely get some kind of small compound bow or other small weapon to shoot arrows. And because I want to brag one more time, LOL, I am a great ax thrower. I hit dead in the middle 2-3 times in a row. The big burly guy at the booth we were at said " I wouldn't piss her off" to the guy I was with. So I am buying throwing axes and will try throwing knives too. It can't hurt! I will get a tactical whip for sure. This is for home and self defense. We are too close to Gary, Indiana to not get these things in place. I'll get some training and practice for sure.

I run that taurus tracker . It’s amazing. Very accurate . Low recoil . It’s good around the farm . But it’s to big for public daily carry . It’s very well balanced and I carry mine around the farm in the rain there’s been no problems with it .

I keep a Taurus 85 in my console but carry a Ruger SP101 I think this was a good list of revolvers. I really like the red Taurus ultra-light 6 shot I might have to pick one up. First time seeing the Zeta6 speed loaders. I ordered 2 sets to try out with my revolvers. Sometimes the older style speed loaders can get hung up on the grips.

My missus is a committed revolver person, she carries a charter undercover, or sometimes the 856, plus we have a heritage for fun at the range...our number 1 buy next is the taurus 942 in .22wmr...we almost bought the ruger, but she likes the idea of 8 rds vs. 6, plus the price...thank you for an excellent video...
@PetuniaIii-pd1ww3 жыл бұрын
@@rickflare6736 I've shot both and to me the biggest difference is the one extra round in the taurus...the revolvers are about the same size, the charter might be a little heavier as I recall...shooting 158 gr target ammo both revolvers have some snappiness to them...why the missus wants to carry something as big and heavy as either of these revolvers is pure mulishness on her part (please don't tell her I said that) but having owned both for several years now I must say we've had no problems with either and both go bang every time...if we ever find some .38 target ammo again I'm sure she will shoot it up...she loads that hornady 90 gr lite for house and carry -I'd like her to bump that up to their 110 gr ammo if again we can ever find any...

Very nice video. Glad that you guys actually own and shoot these guns. A minor correction please. Your top rated Smith is hammer fired. The hammer is just shrouded for two purposes; the gun will not snag on the hammer spur on a draw, and the hidden hammer makes it DAO.

Taurus seems to have dramatically improved in quality. Seems like their revolvers are well worth checking out. On a different note, I hope you guys will track down the new Walther PDP. It's basically a PPQ 2.0 with many big improvements. It comes in 3 different sizes and all are red dot ready. I hope to find the 4.5 inch barrel model with 18 rd capacity. The 4" model accepts PPQ mags. Take care and be healthy.

Good video! As to the Taurus having 2 locking points, technically there are 3 locking points on Taurus and many other revolvers except Colts and Colt clones. You left out the cylinder stop at the bottom of the frame window. If that's loose, front to back or side to side, you have some big problems.

I had a used Taurus 605 in beautiful polished stainless back in the 90's in .357. It was so accurate I could hit a pie plate at 20 yards all day. Apparently someone had done a nice trigger job on it. But the front cylinder latch hole wore out after 2 years and the Taurus replacement was so inaccurate I sold it. Now I carry the SIG P365 and it's so much better.
