LFA. V10s are the best engines because they make the best sound bar none, with the LFA being the best of them all. I like anything with odd timing though basically, so anything with 3, 5, 6 or 10 cylinders is ideal.

I’ve noticed M5 V10 prices are slowly creeping up over the last year or so not massively but very slowly especially the well maintained ones with FBMW service history with good mileage , these cars are great to own I’ve had mine for 3 years with no problems this is mainly due to preventive maintenance plus not skipping services and of course the all important warm up from cold ( keep below 3k revs ) and during hard driving sections have cool down periods to help the gearbox and clutch, most negative comments came from abused models that were purchased on the cheap that were being used as daily runners which I personally don’t recommend as it’s more of an enthusiasts car (weekend toy ) or people that couldn’t really afford the services so ignored the lights on the dashboard and drove them into the ground..... I was going to sell the car a couple of years ago for the F10 M5 but even though the new model drives great and the gearbox in auto is fantastic it just doesn’t feel like an M car it’s to smooth and sophisticated , instead of me trying to explain it’s best to drive both then you will understand 😎👍🇬🇧

@@blocktone8962 I’m now coming up to 6 years ownership in June , everything is still great , I had the con rod bearings changed along with the vanos pipe etc so I now know it’s ok as long as the warming up period it maintained by me plus regular oil changes and cooling down periods , what a car , if you can find a good one snap it up and use it for weekends as I have done from the start 👍

isn't there an issue with the m5/m6 engines where they literally blow up even on low mileage models? hoovies garage got one and had a bad time I want to love it but it's forbidden fruit I dont want to run a car for a few months then sell it for parts

Reasons for the engine catching fire is when people drive them without letting the engine warm up, especially people who drive them harsh whilst cold. If u ever buy a m5 just make sure rid bearings are done or get them done engine will be fine

When under warranty it's understandable that people had this car. So so SO quick but as a second hand option they are just a ticking time bomb waiting to happen! Keep up the excellent content. @@CarsWithJB it's going to raise quicker now. It's always been said to get to your first thousand is the hardest. After that its quicker to get your next thousand. In your case the next 20k. I absolutely love the newer M6 with the V8 twin turbo engine. Now they are sub 30k with what seems to be higher residual values due to no new M6 and only an M8 its actually a VERY tempting prospect for anyone.

You can't get a m6 e63 for less then 10k $. You barely can under 20k $. I went on a 2nd hand car website and wrote m6 e63 and 70 results came, and as soon as i typed in the price maximum at 20k, 2 results came out. Thoose 2 results were barely holding into the 20k list as with one being 19.5k$ and the 2nd 17.5k$

Man you can barely find a 650i for less than 10k. If you find an M6 for less than 10k, it will be a money pit, on top of being a money pit already, even in really good condition.

You can on autotrader uk and even bid on ebay uk. It will be a money pit but the m5/m6 v10 (facelift) 2007-2010 are the ones considered more reliable, (facelift ones are often in the teens).

Yeah you can buy them for under £10k, which was my main goal with the vid, absolute cheapest V10s! But yes as I said in the intro, you may have to spend a little more to get something in properly good condition 🤙🏽

My dad owns a "m6" well its not an m6 it's a 630i so not an m but its damn good, he bought it in 2006 completely imported from Germany, this car isnt the most reliable because it breaks kinda a lot, I never been in his car without it showing check engine light

you can't find a good one for that money. Mine is an immaculate example E60 M5 Facelift with only 50.000km and it cost 48.000€. LCI models like mine are extremely rare in Europe and you can immediately spot a pleb by driving a cheap prefacelift.
