I’m a home cutter. I eventually came around to the Fast Feed and loved it from day 1. Then found your vid suggesting the Andis double magnet guards. Sweet. Then the Andis coarse ceramic cutters. Match made in heaven. At this point I believe I have a setup as good or better than ANY other possibility. For me, this will do everything. Thanks for the help. Udda Man!

The andis masters when installed with the fade blade is the best clippers on the market if you ask me. Hands-down it’s smooth, and powerful. The 76 holster is undisputably a tank and virtually indestructible, unfortunately it’s very loud. Used it for years though. In fact I still have both of those clippers and I bought them new in 2000.

I love the Oster fast feeds. The balding clipper is great. I never had my fast feeds pull hair. You do have to change blades after a few months or 1 time a month if your cutting that much.( fast feeds)

Love my Magic Clips but thinking of picking up a pair of Big Mags, LI Pro or the new Wahl 100 year cordless. Or the Sterling 4 cordless. Thoughts please...? I only use cordless.
@JC-fj7oo
@JC-fj7oo 4 жыл бұрын
I just started using Caliber products. They are basically wahl blades and designs, but they fixed the battery life issue. They last like 4 hours of continuous cutting. The big mags are a gimmick, the sterling 4 are designed for stylists to do an occasional kid cut or something won't work in a barbershop. "Sterling" is the budget stylist occasional use line in general - not quality products. The wahl 100 year cordless is just a Magic with an aluminum housing and a standard wahl blade. It's fine if you like the magic, but there is no real reason to switch. The important part is to have a bulk clipper. BGRC or oster octane would be good cordless models. This will make your fading clippers work and last much better. Honestly, even with the best cordless clippers, the corded will be 30 percent faster or more. IF I can knock 5 minutes off my average haircut time, that's another 4 cuts per day that's maybe 60 bucks in business and 20 in tips. In 5 days that can be another $400 per week or 20,000 dollars per year. Even if you only scratch out another 2 cuts per day that's over 7500 per year. THAT"S A LOT OF MONEY!

What do you think of the Andis Envy cordless clipper
@JC-fj7oo
@JC-fj7oo 4 жыл бұрын
the andis master is a marvel. I have a pair of masters from the early 40's and they still cut. I have a brand new pair that I bought on sale, and they cut great too. But they are so damn hot. Every barber I know that rocks masters has like 5 pairs. Andis even tried to play it off with the phat master and the fade master so you own 3 clippers. Let's be real, you change masters because it's melting your fingerprints off. I'm pretty sure I could get away with murder now if I only use my right hand. The 76's are a very powerful clipper, and no real complaints except that they are a bit heavy and they have a fan that blows hair straight into my face with every pass. It's supposed to cool off the relatively slow moving blades. But blades that slow would take forever to heat up anyway, so it's really just a design flaw. Small complaint but there are a ton of bulk clippers that don't do that. Never tried the fast feeds. I'm sure they are fine, but I just don't need another pair of corded fading clippers. The wahl senior is my favorite. Like you said. Money making machine. It fades, it tapers, it does long or curly and it will take off bulk. Doesn't matter. It just keeps going. Heats up eventually, but if you use a universal clipper for bulk and the senior for fading and trimmers for trimming, It's not too bad. Pro-tip: If you do have a hot metal clipper, just spritz a neck-strip with water, lay it over the metal part of the handle and blow on it with a cool blowdryer. Get it back to icy in a few seconds. The magics and the stirling cordless are ok. Like you said, IF you NEED to cut hair without a cord, it will do a surprisingly good job. But I wouldn't try to run a business with them. Also the andis lithium clipper is garbage. The batteries are terrible on all of these clippers. They look like flip phone batteries from 2002. You could fit five of them in the magic clip and it would be about the same weight as a Senior. I'm getting my hopes up for the caliber clippers because they seem to be addressing a lot of problems that the big manufacturers aren't addressing with their cordless lineup. Battery life, blade speed, and buttons that hopefully don't wear out.

the regular Master Blade is an ALL AROUND cutting blade, The fade blade is designed specifically for Fades. I disagree with MrEddieBarbers comment below about the regular Master not being able to be gapped to take out skin lines. I know plenty Barbers who have no issues zero gapping there regular Masters-including my Masters. I have never used a trimmer or anything else to get out a skin line besides the Masters. You must remember, you use the same blade you put the skin line in - to take that line out! My masters are set to approx. a 0000 and that is more than sufficient enough for a bald fade. I set the bald line with my Masters(0000), then at the end- chip that same line out with those same Masters.

Everybody talking about the weight of the masters and the heat. Andis fixed that with the andis Fade. It's the identical clipper to the master with a plastic housing so almost half the weight and way less heat in the hand. Add a cereamic and you fall in love all over again. I can do any cut entirely with my fades. Including the line zero gapped blade is surgical!

But my question ,, the fast feed , had 20 years , haven't used them in forever because the housing cracked half body,, agree with ya awsome clippers ,,, ok here's the question can you buy the body for them. depends on what kind of cut you want. 76 would cut everything in one pass, but fading would be a biotch and a half. For fading your own hair, a senior would be good. A super taper 2 would be a nice option too, it's all the same guts with a sturdy plastic housing. might be easier to work on the back with a lighter clipper. RESPECTFULLY, I dont know what kind of Masters you've dealt with. Masters are a WORKHORSE! Those machines chop through bulk like butter. Also, From all the other Barbers I was around at Barber school( 50-60 barbers) that use Wahls, EVERYONE OF THEM said the only reason they like Wahl over the others was because they were lighter and way easier( the blade doesnt open as far as the Masters, The Wahl guard system..etc) Personally I look ALL Wahl clippers as DIY home clippers that developed a cult following in the barber industry, while both Oster and Andis are THE unequivocal pro level clipper manufacturers.

It's the other way around. Wahl were the pro clippers that were so good everyone wanted them at home. Masters are a fine clipper. But they have drawbacks. The fine straight teeth that make them good faders mean they get caught up in bulky hair. The super fast blades that give a clean smooth finish, also generate a ton of heat. The blades get hot, the body gets hot, it's always hot. IYou need at least 2 or 3 pairs of them if you are doing back to back clipper cuts. Or you are going to be staring at a customer for ten minutes waiting for your clippers to be touchable again every third cut. Seniors and Masters are similar weight, who said they were lighter? If I was in some kind of competition and needed the absolute cleanest fade ever... I'd maybe break out my Masters. But I got bills to pay. Like they said, the Seniors are the money-makers. They are just faster most of the time and 99.9% as good Besides if you need a really smooth cut, use your changeable blade clipper. Need extra short get your trimmers. Your trimmers are right on the station there aren't they? Need crisp? get the shaver/razor.

Jesus said in Luke 16-27 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: 17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? 18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. 20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? 21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God. 22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. 23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. 24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? 25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? 26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? 27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. You must get to know the real God Jesus Christ. Do you believe in God,? In the last day Jesus would resurrect everyone who ever lived including the good and the bad, and the good would go to heaven while the bad would perish and be tormented in Hell for all eternity, there is no reincarnating into another species, that is a lie, you only have this life to get right with God. today I want to share with you the Gospel of God Jesus Christ who is the only God who came in the flesh and lived among us about 2000 years ago and he was crucified and died for our sins, all men have sinned against God and hence we live in a world full of trouble because the first people named Adam and Eve ate from the tree which God commanded them not to eat from, hence because of their disobedience, Adam and Eve were cast out of Paradise. But God in his love and mercy made a way for us to get back into this paradise so that we can once again live with him for eternity in paradise where we never grow old or die and where there is no pain or suffering for all eternity. Today you can take the first step in this journey by believing in God Jesus Christ and accepting him as God(as he was not just a good teacher) and by repenting of your sins. In the last day Jesus would resurrect everyone who ever lived including the good and the bad and the good would go to heaven while the bad would perish and be tormented in Hell for all eternity, there is no reincarnating into another species, that is a lie, you only have this life to get right with God. Therefore we must repent of our sins today and realize that we are not Gods, neither are we divine, only God is divine. Jesus is God and he taught us how to live when he came to Earth , there are 2 destinations either Heaven or Eternal hell fire, those believe in Jesus Christ and who live according to Jesus Christ would go to Heaven but those wicked people who reject him and choose their own paths would be cast into the lake of fire where they shall be tormented for all eternity, this is just the reality, nonetheless it is not fear that cause me to live for God but rather it is my love for him in that he is a merciful and loving God. Focus on the things of God instead of the things of this world as the things of this world are only temporary but the things of God are eternal. If you would like to know more about this I encourage you to study the ESV and KJV Bible as there is vital knowledge that you must have in there as it explains Gods plan for Humanity and what we must do to please him. Do not delay, tomorrow is not promised.Jesus bless you
