Personally I find Dubai a bit too artificial and Abu Dhabi (the capital of UAE) is a lot more preferable as it's more laidback and there are many gardens and trees.

As a portuguese guy, since the Immigration recent open borders policy, crime is on an all time high and Portugal is no longer the safe haven it used to be. Crime has risen a lot since some "less desirable people" who were convicted and wanted in another countries are living at large in Portugal, commiting rape and theft. @@ozvikings You won't escape the CGT - basically between the ATO monitoring the blockchains, data sharing from the finance world (CRS) and govt data sharing, they'll be away of anything you do in crypto. You're better off liquidating in Australia, taking all your move overseas, establishing your entire life overseas, waiting 3yrs before having a taxable income again (in order to leave the Australian tax net) and then starting again.

Tax are applied when you sell crypto for FIAT or when buying using crypto as payment. If you use a no KYC and no spending goes through an account linked to your finances, it can't be tracked.
