The 2 years City didn’t have a striker, he filled in and played that flase 9 role better than Jesus played up top. LaZy CaN'T dEfEnD is just talk sport, tabloid crap because he's black and scouse. Part of a backline that conceded just 22 goals in 2018-19, 33 in 2019-20 and then 26 in 2021-22. Fair play to Flex for keeping it real with Foden having at 1st. Had Saka not disappeared at the end of the last couple of seasons and made it count when his team needed him the most, I’d have him in 1st, but he didn’t and every time Foden has been allowed to play, especially in big games like the CL knockout stages or v LFC or MU etc he’s always delivered. Last season having a foot injury just before and then worse after he WC along with appendicitis cut his season down a lot but when he did play, he scored as many goals as Saka yet played about 1/3 the time. That said, Saka 2 by a country mile over the others

Saka was a ghost in all 3 games. So that doesn’t help your argument. The LFC goals at the Emirates (beginning of season) that was offside but VAR “didn’t have a camera to check the angle” but a goal is a goal, so that fair. Then made the penalty (fair enough). So good there. But at the end of the season when it mattered most what happened? He disappeared at LFC and skied the pen which likely would’ve had Arsenal win the game. Also, my main point was that he is a ghost in the business end of the season. World class players rise to the occasion, he disappears. As for the big games, world class players are consistent scorers in a lot of big games, not just a few peppered over the season but not including the last 10 games or so. The goals he got against MU were early in season and then again in Jan when everyone was saying Arsenal had won the league and there was no pressure. I’m the pressure games (last 10 of season) and a number of big games, he’s not there. He could change it this season with the CL and I hope he does. Until then, he’s not world class yet

Foden’s got back to back and Saka was given it this year as a sympathy trophy with no value as he didn’t deserve at all. Haaland did and the world knows it. If Saka had any character, he’d have rejected that trophy bc he knows based on merit, like every one else, he doesn’t deserve it when compared to Haaland’s body of work. The difference with Foden and Saka is, Saka just had an average start to the season. But he’ll be starting every match going forward. Lack of competition. If he was at City, he’d probably have been dropped. So it will be very difficult for Foden to get a run in the team as Saka. I remember Foden cooking on the RW last season before his injury. From what we’ve seen so far, my list is; 1-Saka 2- Foden 3- Rice 4- Rashford 5- Grealish

We are yet to see Foden hold up a team on his back, so although he is a top player it's like he's just another cog in City's structure. Allowed to do less defensive work, England is not Man City. How can Grealish have done more things than Rice? I just don't get that argument. Grealish at 23/24 only just broke back into the Premier League, wasn't capped by England till mid 20's, and has been in and out of the national team. Whereas Rice at 24 has been a certain starter for country in 2 major tournaments, was called up by England as soon as he was able to, has been a top PL performer for 5+ years, who captained West Ham to break into the European spots in consecutive seasons and win a European trophy.

He is just like Matt Le Tissier in the fact that if he were German, Spanish, Brazillian, Agrentinian, we would be talking about him as one of the best attacking right backs in the history of the league at only aged 24. But because he is English, because Southgate doesnt fancy him, because the media focuses on his mistakes (of which you'll literally find similar reviewing any wingback on any team in detail by the way). because of that he is always downplayed.
