I still remember my first shiny fail. It was a shiny mesprit which I got after just 2 soft resets on OR. I unfortunately didn’t come prepared and didn’t have enough pokeballs and had to run away. 💔😭😭😩 so I feel for all of these hunters. It’s a horrible feeling.

My first shiny fail was a complete stupid move on my part. In ORAS I got a random shiny relicanth and like a moron I used leaf blade from my sceptile who was 5 levels higher, not thinking it was quad effective (Don't play at 2 in the morning). My most painful though was my SS Totodile I just SR over like 4 days ago after 15K encounters.

The Animation for pokemon fleeing is when they stand still and the colored and white ring disappears. It will then run after a second. This isn’t always the case though.

The Magmar one was just unfortunate. As for myself I only shiny failed once in my life which was a shiny Abamasnow which I was very excited to see because Abamasnow is not only my favorite ice type but my favorite mega and I got it down to 1 HP with false swipe and that’s when it decides to reveal it has wood hammer and kills itself to recoil. RIP.

My first (and only (so far)) shiny fail was a shunt comfey. I got it and was so hyped, started recording via my iPad. After finally getting a good shot I set them both down and got ready to catch it. ..... I accidentally clicked the run button. Just. The knowledge that if I didn’t record it I would have gotten the shiny isn’t fun. I’ve been more careful since.

Lol I ran into a shiny on accident but I caught it, I was trying to complete the pokedex in Pokémon x and I needed a gyrodos, I saw it's shadow on the second encounter in the wild, and I was happy cause I found him but then I saw he was red and started to shine, my heart dropped to my ass that day

Same thing happened to me on Route 10. I got a 11 catch combo on a weedle so I could go in the water in Route 10 to get a Dratini which was a rare spawn, apperently, that was enough to give me my first shiny in Let's go, a shiny female nidoran.
