I just want to say that I am Bermudian and I lived in Bermuda for my entire life. And yes those planes and ships going missing is strange and unusual, but i would like to say that it is hurtful that people automatically assume that there going to go missing if they travel to Bermuda. I find it some what offensive because no one ever is afraid to travel to Florida the only reason why it is called the Bermuda Triangle is because the north point/ angle is lined up to Bermuda . Bermuda is a wonderful place , with crystal blue waters and pink sand and very friendly people who will speak to you even if they don't know. So please do not let this myth scare you out of visiting this amazing place.

I think it has something to do with an underwater volcano, because volcanos create magnetic fields which could affect technology on airplanes with would explain the missing planes because they crashed due to this. And some boats use technology too. As for row boats there are animals under water what are drawn to the heat and volcanos are hot. So if the row boats get to close they will attack because they're territorial.

I saw something somewhere about the triangle that seemed to reach the conclusion that there is some kind of methane deposits on the ocean floor that intermittently vents a cloud of methane up, which would disrupt aircraft and lower the buoyancy rate of water so that ships would just sink from being too damn heavy. Damned if I can remember where I saw that though. Discovery Channel some dozen years ago, maybe? Don't know.

For me, possible reason is maybe there is a magnetic field in that area that interrupts navigator's (like planes) compass. Second, about those ships disappearances probably it is true that there is a huge slug of methane gas beneath the seafloor that saturates sea water on that area making its water density too low for the ships to float and might the reason that all ships passing through this area sunk down. Well, this is just my opinion. We still needs more evidence about this "Bermuda Triangle".
