Top 5 Fallen Angels in Big Brother History

There have been great players taken out just before reaching the final two chairs in Big Brother. There have also been okay players that have been taken out at that point too but would have absolutely destroyed a jury vote against the other finalists. Today, we'll be going through and looking at who I believe to be five players that would have won a jury vote against the final two players of the season, but were taken out in third place. These players have been referred to as "Fallen Angels" (I think?)
This is not a final juror ranking. That list would have many different names.

Vanessa Russo is the best well rounded player equal to Dan Geesling imo. Different strategies but so strong and powerful. She was confrontational, manipulative, a comp beast, able to lie cheat change her targets, taking who might be her threat in the future. She is so good at analyzing risks for her game and building a strategy on how to move forward. You can be outspoken and be legendary and that what she did. IT IS FLAWLESS! I'd definitely play a game like her not a sneaky one.

She's definitely a beast but her gameplay reminds me of Paul from BB18 and BB19, not good jury management. Reminds me of Danielle from BB3 as well.

She’s arguably the best in pure strategy of all time and was good at competitions as well but what cost her the game was the lack of social connections. Steve got to know Johnny mac on a personal level so that’s how he got the final HOH question. Also unlike Derrick she didn’t have a situation where she was going to get taken to final 2.

@@jrdnk5715 April grew to detest Ivette towards the end of the season (and she had never liked Ivette to begin with, but forced herself to work with her because she liked Beau, Maggie, etc...) She in contrast grew to really like Janelle towards the end, and has said that Janelle would have gotten her vote over Ivette had they been the final two. Maggie would still have had April's vote against Janelle though.

I suppose Zach technically meets the definition of "Fallen Angel" if its simply one who went out at third and would have beaten the other two people, but this guy essentially stumbled his way into that position. He was a social pariah who would empty rooms because people didn't want to talk with him, he was that socially awkward. His early alliance the Mrs. Robinson alliance completely blew up and they were all taken out beyond him, not because of his good gameplay but because no one wanted to waste an eviction on him. He eventually won a few comps to help him get himself further, but at the most crucial moment in the game, the F5 when he won veto and could have guaranteed Daniele's eviction had he used it, he refrains from doing so, dooming him to his third place finish. Dick would have had no choice but to work with Zach and go to the F2 with him had Daniele left, and Zach easily beats Dick in the F2. Instead he played too passively, tried to make his move at F4 instead which flopped because Dani won the veto and got voted out in third.

Lisa would have Marcellas, Roddy, Tonya, Eric, and probably Lori completely locked over Danielle even without the jury diaries, and probably gets atleast either Chiarra or Ami (due to Roddy and Marcellas's influence) to win. She now gets 3 votes against Lisa- Jason, Gerry, Jason, vs the 1 she got, but still probably loses. She 100% loses to Jason even without them.

And I’m sure Nakomis would vote for her sitting next to Drew and Drew would vote for her if she sitting next to Cowboy. Kevin beats Natalie landslide and with Jordan I think her only votes are Michelle and Jeff.

The jury on Big Brother 5 hated Diane except for Will and Nakomis, at least as of the Final 3. Had Drew chosen Diane over Cowboy, he still wins because he gets Karen, the twins, and Cowboy’s votes guaranteed; maybe Marvin. The twins didn’t have a strong relationship with Diane, and everyone in the house LOVED Drew. They only voted for Cowboy over Drew because they had a better relationship with him and “Christian values”. Karen was extremely bitter about Diane betraying her (although she votes for Diane over Cowboy), and of course Cowboy would never vote against Drew. Marvin is a wildcard as he respected both Drew and Diane, so I say that comes down to jury questions. The bigger question, does Diane win against Cowboy? The anti-Diane sentiment was strong, and she already loses the twins’ votes. But she gets Marvin, Will, and Karen in that situation, so she just would need to win over Drew or Nakomis (doable given that Nakomis was her close friend, wasn’t salty about the Final 5, and Nakomis didn’t really have a strong bond with Drew so that’s why Cowboy had her vote).

@@craigresendes2403 disagree on everybody in the house loving Drew, they were mostly indifferent towards him. He didn't build strong relationships with anyone bar Cowboy and Diane, who were wrapped tightly around his finger. I still think Diane CAN win against Drew, if she's convincing enough to sway Karen her way. But Karen seemed extremely hurt, so who knows. So was Marvin, but he didn't care for Drew at all, so it's all up in the air. Good for Drew for not risking a loss and taking Diane with him.

The twins were never voting Diane. They said so themselves. They voted Cowboy over Drew due to Cowboy's christian values or some shit, but have openly said they vote both Cowboy and Drew over her. It isn't even a question. Drew would have the twins and Cowboy 100% locked. He only needs 1 of Marvin or Karen, and Marvin I think said post show he votes Drew in either F2, and Karen was super bitter at Diane so I highly doubt she votes Diane over Drew at that point either. Very unlikely she beats Drew. She isn't even certain to beat Cowboy. The twins definitely vote Cowboy, they would have voted Drew over her as I said, and they already voted Cowboy over Drew. Drew? He probably votes for who didn't evict him, he totally used and didn't love Diane remember. So if Diane won final HOH and took Cowboy, Drew probably votes Cowboy now. Marvin? Not sure, his vote was a toss up between all 3 really. Karen was super bitter but who knows if she was bitter enough to vote Cowboy over her or not. Nakomis is also a toss up, since she is Cowboy's half sister. So Diane loses to Drew most likely and isn't even a lock to beat Cowboy in fact.

And while there is a good chance she beats Cowboy, even that isn't a slam dunk at all. So she doesn't belong on this list just as the video maker indicated.

I think this is a good list but I would probably put Kevin on the list because he beats Natalie for sure and then I think gets 4 votes again it’s Jordan, Russell, Lydia, Natalie and Jessie, But if Kevin won the final hoh and evicted Natalie that could have costed him but I think he still gets the votes. He probably just had a misread on the jury’s view of Natalie because he was so close to her the whole game. He’s still in the wrong, as the optimal move is to take Natalie, but that’s likely his thought process

Look at Jeff's words in his final pitch campaigning to Natalie to keep him over his girlfriend Jordan (referring to Kevin, Kevin knows he can't beat you). I am sure Kevin remembers that. Jeff then admited he was very surprised to get to jury house and see how anti Natalie they were, including people he thought were Natalie's friends like Jessie and Russell.

The only way Jason loses is Lisa winning final HOH which realistically probably had no more than 25% chance of happening, maybe less, but did happen. He was still dumb to not take Amy, who not only does he easily beat, but atleast might take him over Danielle, and wasn't really anymore likely to win the final HOH than Lisa was either. I get your stated criteria, but still I think when it is a hypothetical F2 that there isn't even a tiny chance ever happens, it shouldn't matter in the evaluation, but yeah Jason beats Lisa in the never happens Final 2 anyway.

Wow what a great video man! I agree with most of this list. When I think of Fallen Angels that first come to mind that weren’t on this video: Nicole A BB21, Jerry BB10, Kevin BB11, and Enzo BB12. The rest on your list, yeah you basically got everything covered here given this criteria. No way Christmas (BB19), Shelia (BB9), Diane (BB5), Adam (BB13), Danielle (BB14), James (BB18), Nicole (BB22), or Janelle (BB6) had a real shot at winning. Janelle in BB7 and Jason in BB3 are tricky situations where it literally could’ve been up in the air given the scenarios for either one given their respective final 3’s. So I wouldn’t say they had no shot, but it’s hard to really estimate that shot for them 2 specifically! Spencer from BB15’s situation is also a wildcard but I don’t know how secure his votes would’ve been unless he sat next to Gina Marie. Even then I don’t think it’s a guaranteed win against her. Diane likely wins next to drew and cowboy, Enzo is never winning bb12 at that final 3, Danielle beats Dan, if Nicole won final HoH and took Enzo she wins, if she gets to the end against Cody she gets votes but loses, janelle loses both scenarios in bb6, Jason more than likely beats Danielle, janelle only beats Erika, spencer only beats Gina marie (I do think spencer wins because Andy was a pretty big advocate for him and would have advertised a spencer win, especially over GM)

@@norayrgevorkyan6425 in a holly vs Nicole final 2, christie and Tommy become swing votes, where holly has Jackson jack analyse and Kat and Nicole has cliff jessica and probably nick. Christie and Tommy could very well vote for Nicole, especially since she won final hoh in this scenario. If they do vote for Nicole she wins in a 5-4 vote. Then again nicks vote isn’t certain either, so he could possibly just vote for holly giving her the win. I think holly has the advantage in that final 2, but Nicole has ways to win. She easily loses to Jackson tho, as Jackson gets the same 4 locked votes plus nicks vote for sure, already giving him the win. Plus, Tommy and christie more than likely vote for him as well.

If it Holly, and she made the ballsy move to evict her boyfriend she probably wins 7-2 losing only Cliff and now Jackson's (super bitter) votes. Nicole is the more likely to evict Jackson of course though. Anyway Nicole in no way belongs on this list when she loses to 1 of the other 2 (Jackson) and isn't certain to even beat the other (Holly).

I've thought about Janelle vs Boogie in the context of what if Janelle didn't evict Will at 4 (the move has been criticized sometimes), and I'd think she probably loses in that case because evicting Erika over Will would really look bad. But at the same time she would have evicted Will at 3 so who knows

My only issue with Vanessa, and it’s a blanket statement, it’s the reason I struggle with BB and survivor players on The Challenge. I feel like these players are so adamant a storyline is what’s needed, they forget that future seasons are a thing and it makes me think that winning isn’t actually something they’re bothered about, which is fine but it takes away the competitive nature of the shows. It becomes more like love island and ex in the beach, which I get they’re still considered reality but to me reality/competition based reality are 2 different things and I want to see the fire. No one will trust Vanessa and she’s the new Janelle in the sense she’s this popular female who nobody will let get far, she will likely never get far again and it’s a waste because she’s brilliant, at least Janelle showed loyalty to her alliances and she still is an early boot at best now. Think she could’ve done it all, just as entertaining but not as blatantly unbothered by things. America was also a vote replacing Chima remember, and America almost for sure goes Jordan over everyone but Jeff due to how popular Jeff was. No she doesn't. Tyler, Danielle, and Enzo (if Cody didn't cut him) are easy Cody votes. Da'vonne said she never votes Nicole against a single person, and Memphis, Kevin, Ian, David, all confirmed they vote Cody over Nicole for sure. If Cody takes Nicole which he was never doing, Nicole loses 7-2 or 6-3 getting Christmas, Enzo probably (bitter), and maybe Memphis. If Nicole takes Cody, which is how this F2 happens, then Cody now wins 9-0 I think since she looks like an idiot. And while normally she would beat Enzo, if Enzo is the one to cut Cody and take Nicole, Enzo wins. Memphis, Kevin, Ian, Danielle, David have all confirmed in interviews they vote for whoever cut Cody in that Final 2. Da'Vonne already said she never votes Nicole, and Tyler is never voting Nicole either. And Nicole claims she was taking Cody, and Enzo claims he was cutting Cody, so you know what that means.

I think he very likely beats Lisa. He has Danielle for sure. He has Josh and Gerry for sure, both have admited they wanted to vote Danielle over Lisa and nearly did, but gave in to pressure from the others, so they easily vote Jason over Lisa. Josh disliked Lisa and Gerry had no relationship with her. Ami has said she votes Jason for sure unless he is against Marcellas. I am pretty sure Lori votes Jason and she admits she disliked both Danielle and Lisa and found it a lesser of two evils vote. So that is atleast 5 already, and he has a good shot of any of Roddy, Chiarra and Tonya (Tonya was friends with both too). That Final 2 never happens mind you. And if either Jason or Danielle win final HOH it is Jason vs Danielle which Jason probably wins 10-0 (or 9-1 with Lisa voting Danielle possibly).

while she obviously dominated that season, i feel like vanessa does have some faults that isn’t talked about. she played that final five round as a whole pretty poorly. while she did get austin out, johnny mac was her initial target and she only switched it to austin after johnny mac won the veto. so not only did she get lucky with the comp result, but by switching the target midweek, she mismanaged austin going into the jury, but also loses the trust of johnny mac and steve in the process, leaving liz as her only option to get to the end

I'm not sure if I totally agree. By the time of the top 5, Vanessa was the odd man out of two pairs - Johnny Mac + Steve and Liz + Austin. By getting rid of Austin, Vanessa could manipulate Liz to become her new pair into the game. Had she evicted Steve, she would be going into the top 4 with a showmance, which is never ideal. She simply took the first opportunity she was presented to make her chances into getting into the final two more possible.

@@khntou4178 again, i agree with getting austin out, it’s 100% the right move. however, austin should’ve been her target from the start instead of johnny mac. by making johnny mac her initial target, she burns the bridge with both him and steve to where they would’ve voted her out if she didn’t win that final four veto. if she just nominated austin at the start, both steve and johnny mac probably would’ve stayed loyal to her and maybe steve brings her to the end in this scenario. not to mention, it’s pretty bad jury management by lying to austin the entire time and probably lost her the votes of him and the twins in the end

While I agree Vanessa’s the best third placer in Big Brother US, she doesn’t clean house against Steve. Each of them have three guaranteed votes (Steve has Austin, Jackie, and Johnny Mac, Vanessa has the twins and Shelli), so the votes of James, Meg, and Becky are in the air. Becky and James especially didn’t have great views of Vanessa when they got evicted, so Vanessa has a much harder road to the win than we think. She mismanaged most of the jury, and it was fairly obvious. If we’re including Canada, this list might be very different. Emmett, Neda, Tim, and Demetres are guaranteed the win (especially if they have their dream Final 2 partners of Jillian, Sabrina, the brothers, and Karen) against either of the other two, and I’d even argue Ashleigh had a great shot to win against both Sarah and Godfrey.

@lil minch Meg is definitely tricky, and I do agree that the jury statements were more positive coming from James and Becky. It would come down to Vanessa’s jury performance, which we ultimately will never see, so it’s also possible she bombs there (unlikely, but people were sick of how she emotionally manipulated them all season). Vanessa has a way to beat Steve, but it’s not as cut and dry as her beating Liz (she wins 7-2 against Liz, if that weren’t blatantly obvious).

John Mac shat all over Steve's game in jury house. I think he likely votes Vanessa. You are probably assuming he votes Steve due to their friendship and his rivalry with Vanessa, but he mad respected her game, even though they weren't close, and called her the biggest threat many times. I think he is nearly a locked Vanessa vote, including over Steve. I agree otherwise but Steve needs all 3 of James, Becky, and Meg to win which is unlikely. Although if Vanessa cuts Liz, maybe the twins both bitter vote Steve now, in which case Steve does likely win. Not sure on their personalities, and if they would be that pety or not.

I hate hate HATE that dumb luck competition as the final 3 hoh. It’s okay to have some crapshoot hohs in the beginning or beginning-middle, because a part of the game is also being social (not having the hoh want to target you). But as a final 3 hoh, dawg that’s for the title of the game and I’ve truly hated that competition forever. This competition is what gave us Steve Moses as a winner and robbed us of having Vanessa Rousso. I’m so glad they got rid of it.

Agree with most of your picks, except JC tbh. Tyler would get 4 votes for sure. So even if he doesn't get the 5th crucial vote, I don't consider a 5-4 vote a sweep. Similarly, I don't know if JC easily beats Kaycee either, she'd at least get 3 votes and might get more. People on the jury respected not only her competition prowess, but also her social game. In the jury segment, multiple jurors said they believe she might be playing the best game due to being in a dominant alliance without anyone getting upset with her. JC sending out Angela might have earned him some votes though, given how hated Angela was :D Still, I don't think this is a clear vote either way, regardless of who JC sits next to. From what I remember, a lot of jurors didn't care about JC or his game.
