So glad Denni mentioned Boma. My kids were just talking about that restaurant today and how much they want to go back. It is one of our favorite breakfasts on property. I also love the selections of soups at dinner time so many wonderful dishes. They do a great job of balancing the African inspired dishes with lots of family friendly dishes.

We’ve been to 50’s Primetime twice and had a blast each time. Once we had a Grandma server who was all About elbows on the table and finishing vegetables. The last time we were there we had a server named Kyle, who was awesome as well. He would walk by saying things from the tv show clips that were playing. ‘I’ll have it Scrambled!’

quick thing on Sci-Fi - we did it once and my kids got a bit scared/freaked out by the films that were being shown. Obviously depends on the kids but if you have kids that don't really like "creepy" things, might be one to wait until they are a bit older

Corey I grew up about 7 minutes from the Burlington mall. I went to the rainforest cafe as a kid and loved it . And when I had kids they loved it also. Unfortunately it closed about 2 years ago. 😭😭😭 the food wasn’t awesome but it was such a good experience. We talk about how much we miss it ever time we go to the mall.

We went to 50’s Primetime Cafe because we had heard all of the wonderful stories about how fun it is. We must have had bad timing, nothing playful and funny thrown our way, we felt very rushed. It was especially disappointing since we had hyped it up to our kids and it was one of the few full service restaurants we chose to spend money at. 😐. The tables next to us were having a grand time with their waiter, wish we would have had him.

It really does depend on your server and the time of day. We had the same experience that you did but still really enjoyed the food.

Garden Grill was good food wise but the service was terrible. We waited 40 minutes for drinks and an hour for food at breakfast. The characters were great and we waited so long that they came around 3 times before we left!

This was a good theme! Enjoyed the video. The animal kingdom rainforest cafe almost killed 3/5 of our family with food poisoning. We had been going there annually for breakfast and now we just can’t return. I’ve never been so sick in my life. I guess that can happen anywhere but ruined the experience.

I from Australia coming in jan when a restaurant is family style do they just bring you a platter of food? If you like one thing on that platter and you just want more of that food item can u get more or do you have to eat the whole platter?
@alandenniston82095 жыл бұрын
Family style restaurants ~ Usually served in bowls, meats may come a platter and yes you can just ask for a particular meat if a variety is offered. "Hoopy do revue" is fun and southern fried chicken is the meat. "Ohana's" at the Polynesian resort is a So very good. "Liberty Tree Inn " at Magic kingdom has great colonial American family style dinners. WDW you must make reservation weeks or months in advance due to the masses of people here.

Tip for breakfast eaters at the Garden Grill: If you have an early reservation and are out before 9am, the cast members will let you line up for Soarin' and you will be the first on the ride. That means you can ride, get off and walk back on with no issues (contingent on the time of the year).

Another great place is the Bon Voyage character breakfast at Boardwalk in Tutto Forno(?? my spelling is terrible...) especially if you love the princesses, or have kiddos who do. They're food was SO amazing and you get to meet Ariel, Prince Eric, Rapunzel and Flynn......my husband and I LOVED it and we went without kids...*laughs*

Audio mixing is a mess on this episode, and it's not the first time. Please balance the levels. Pete is deafening, Steve and Denny are nearly inaudible. Conspicuously, this does not happen when Ryno/Craig are on the switch..

My favorite restaurant on the list is Boma, hands down! I think the food is better than Tusker House, but the trade off is there are no characters at Boma. I think the food at Garden Grill is mediocre - but the characters are great. And so is the fact that it slowly rotates - not too fast, so if you have people with disabilities or who have problems walking or with their balance, it's no problem. A big plus, if you can't have sugar - like me - is that the chef will arrange for you to get a dessert (or two) from another restaurant. I tried both the mango pudding-type dessert, which I thought I'd really like but it was such a strong flavor that one taste was enough [A friend agreed with me on that]. But!!! the second dessert, which was their vegan dessert, was amazing!!! It had "whipped cream" which tasted just like real whipped cream, fresh fruit, and pudding - all in layers, so it was a parfait. I hope that is a staple because I'm sure going to ask for it the next time I'm there!!
