Unless you are TT'ing, the differences in time over 30k don't really matter if you're sat in the pack. Is the frame going to make any discernible difference for the last 300m sprint? My guess is the difference would below the noise margin.

When you are low level just go for the lightest frame and wheels , then climb mountains and Koms over and over and the drops will come back as your level increases

But looking at comparison ride between Tron and Venge you can clearly see difference in climb with advantage to Venge.

Thanks pritch! Is their a venge/wheelset that’s as fast as the Tron bike but is obtainable for someone not in level 50? Asking for a friend. Also, does a helmet, or lack of, make a difference or is it just aesthetics? Same for gloves and shoes?

At 13:39, when the Tron bike and the S-works Venge cross the line, the display says 30.7 km in 48:50 for the Specialized and 30.5 km in 47:34 for the Tron. That means the Tron bike is covering .641 kilometer per minute and the Venge is covering .628 km per minute (or 1:35 per km for the Venge and 1:33 per km for the Tron.) How do you conclude that the Venge is faster?

I think what has happened is that the two bikes 'spawned' at different points in advance of the start line so you can't compared the top of screen time and distance as those originate prior to crossing the START line. The bottom clock is showing the side by side time from crossing the start line.

why didn't you compare the best set up that any zwifter can achieve? We can all achieve tron and any tt bike w/zipp wheels (only 858 or 454) we cannot all get the disc wheel. So what is faster? the cervelo w/858 or the tron? the s-work venge w/858( or 454) or tron? I'm asking merely because we cant level to get the disc wheel nor can we buy that with drops. So unfair. Then that being worked out what is better faster between tt's fastest frame vs. road bike fastest frame? Does this conclusion hold true for both group rides and solo efforts? Im not trolling you Chris, I just want a more comprehensive analysis of these frame setups. I think there ARE OTHER VIDEOS out there (ie gp lama) comparing tt to tron, ok fine but this video should be the final word.

I cant Im not given that option. The best wheel I can purchase w/ drops is the 454 @@xcirrusI own the 808 wheels as do most folks but the disc rear wheel is not available in my shop. :( Man yor reply freaked me out till I checked.

Steve R the position of the read brake underneath the bike on the Foil is something many manufacturers tried at in the past to be more aero but came into so many problems with inaccessibility mid-ride, most of all brake rub, and getting full of mud etc that they changed back again... It’s alright for the pros who ride in mostly dry areas and have mechanics/spare bikes but not ideal for everyday riders
