One of my favorite foundations is Miracle Worker from Philosophy! It has anti aging properties and an spf of 30. It's amazing! But because of your recommendation I have the shiseido synchro foundation in my cart!! 😊

Favourite foundations is a tough category. I'm also a foundation junked. I would say my top 5 are: Chantecaille Future Skin, Koh Gen Aqua, Armani Luminous Silk, Josie Maran Vibrancy and Bobbi Brown stick foundation. For fuller coverage, I like the Guerlain Parure Gold. Ask me again tomorrow, and my answer may be different though ;)

LOVE! You know how I feel about the Shiseido foundation- it's amazing! It's my favorite and I am on my second bottle. I never go through a bottle but with this one I did. I am so surprised that I don't hear others talk about this foundation. It's amazing! Plus its at a decent price point.

As far as foundation goes, the new sisley and the new la mer foundations are GORGEOUS.. if you haven't tried them I would! Also me and you have the same love for nude regular lipsticks, not sure if youve tried any but check out the Natasha Denona nude lipsticks they're GORGEOUS. Theyve actually replaced my Mac nude lips and no brand has done that for me, check em out and LMK what you think!

You are so sweet! I have filmed a video on the new Shiseido one and it will be up next week, but spoiler, I do like it. I have done the same thing with the Koh Gen Do...I put it in, take it out, repeat, and so on. I am so on the fence because it has such light coverage. I do know I tried a sample one time and found it to be super sheer, but I still want to try it again. And, I am ordering a super fun foundation tomorrow, so I will have a review of that very soon too!

You should try the new Armani Lip Magnet; they're so, so good!!! The color selection probably isn't wide enough for your bride clients yet, but the formulation is just - wow! I haven't been a fan of liquid lips, particularly matte ones, but I wore the a red Armani magnet all day on Saturday and forgot I had anything on until I caught a glimpse in the mirror and it was still pigmented and in place. I also wore one of the new Cle de Peau luminizing liquid lips in Lempicka Red (18) from 9am without touch ups and it was just starting to fade around 7pm - it survived 3 cups of coffee and my jumbo BKR bottle of water. They're pricey, particularly the Cle de Peau, but very worth checking out. I have two of the Armani's so far and am going back for the red I skipped. I've always been red averse; worrying about how it was wearing and the maintenance - with these I didn't have to!

Hey Mandy! Love your videos. Definitely try the Fiona Stiles Matte Foundation! If you love the Shiseido Synchro Skin I think you will love this. To me it's very similar but has a bit more of a soft focus effect. We are usually the same shade in foundations so I would recommend shade 4. FYI they also have a luminous version which I have not yet tried but I plan to. It would be interesting if you compared them both! The foundations are only sold at Ulta. I'd love to see a review if you try one or both! xx

I'm sitting here re-watching a bunch of your vids which r my fav! (on maternity leave w my second born!) I do have to give u an update re: our vibrancy foundation convo from another vid.... I'm obsessed w hourglass skin tint ...such an odd time of year for me to be so focused on dewy foundations especially as I have normal to oily skin lol BUT after using the skin tint, I def know that vibrancy isn't for me... Hourglass skin tint gives me what I've been looking for!!! And you know how my husband was complaining that I'm always wearing a full face... the last 2 weeks since I've started w the skin tint, he keeps peering into my face and telling me how beautiful I am LOL!!! And also I finally tried koh gen do aqua, and goodness gracious but nothing is beating the hourglass one! And I think I've figured out why... it's the only one that doesn't break up around my nose, lasts super long, and makes my tired face look rested! It really does plump up the fine lines!!! So I will save KGD aqua for when I'm not so tired from being a mommy and just keep using hourglass .....just had to share the update re my husband noticing lol (and he's not one to ever compliment!!) Anyway love your vids and your energy! Sending tons of love!

The only one I have found I use that Chad will say anything to me about my makeup in general is the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk. Kind of funny, but I had the Koh Gen Do foundation in my cart for the VIB Rouge Sale and removed it after watching your video on the Shisedo Synchro Skin foundation and then I also watched a few more videos of the foundation. Sephora automatically decided I was Neutral 3 so I just left it. This morning I found a sample insert and was going to throw it away until I realized I had kept it because it was a foundation sample I had tried and loved. You guessed it. It was the Shisedo and it was such a good match is why I kept the insert - color match on the sample was Neutral 3! Lol Guess I'll be trying it out, again!

Thanks for your thorough reviews and giving primers and powders to match the foundation. I would like to know about best foundation matches to use with sunscreens too. (I usually use the Skin Ceuticals one, as I am using the vitamin C with ferulic acid on my skin, also Retin A). I just bought a foundation from Shiseido the Radiant Lifting Foundation, the lady at the counter said they don't give testers and I described what I like etc. and she colour matched me to B20 natural light beige. I have only used it once and really like it up to now. My other go to foundations are Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk, Make Up Forever HD, Laura Mercier Candleglow soft luminous foundation, and my favourite most expensive one up to now is the Suqqu cream foundation. I still like to try others though. Also, another expensive one which is more of a skin tint is Chantecaille Just Skin. As you said about the Nars all day Luminous foundation it doesn't work that well on dry patches.

I have wanted to try the Chantecaille for awhile and the Suqqu sounds interesting. I may have to look into that! I will say that all the foundations I talked about and pretty much all that I own work very well with my sunscreen...I have had no issues. I use the Elta MD SPF 46 Clear Tinted. I also use Retin A and Vitamin C and those have not interfered with the foundations either. Thanks for the recs on the foundation, and I am glad you are liking your Shiseido one. I am finding that I like everything I try from them.

Thank you! RCMA in my opinion has the biggest learning curve to it. Once you get it down, it is OK. I almost never use it without a thinner of some sort, and it just isn't my favorite cream formula. I much prefer the Graftobian if you are looking for a good cream that comes in palettes. :)

Chemotherapy 6 yrs ago did such a number on my skin and now, treatment induced diabetes keeps it pretty dry. (I use cocoa butter or coconut oil for my nighttime moisturizer and my face is seriously like a babies behind when I get up in the AM. But ONLY those 2 things have had that sweet effect.) I've been using the IT Cosmetics CC+ for foundation and it seems to be "it" for me tho' I'm always on the lookout. I tried a sample of TF Born This Way and I e sen latex paint that blended better! Holy frijoles! What a nightmare. It stuck to every rough-Orange-peel place on my face and made my pores look like mom craters! Then I have to hurry so tried using the IT CC to fill in and smooth out. I actually thought I could feel it pulling my face. Turns out when I went to finally, blessedly wash the mess off, I could see where it was pulling my face down. Disastrous. Too bad because I had 3 tiny samples: vanilla, beige and another pretty dark one that I knew wouldn't fit me. I combined the 2 others and the shade was absolute perfection. So, I'll still with my IT CC till I get brave enough to try another. I only use cruelty free so that limits my choices. IT is slowly becoming my fav brand, it seems. Thanks for these reviews. I'm curious about the Lorac one and maybe the NARS one. Not sure. I like seeing how you compare them. Hope God blesses you with all you're praying for right now. ✌️🦋

The Marc Jacobs with the dropper type applicator? I didn't like that one at all..very dry and cakey looking on me. The La Mer wasn't my fave either honestly; there is some kind of ingredient in there that makes me look super greasy after about 4 hours and I don't have oily skin in the slightest..it's so weird...haven't tried Sisley...yet. :)

I have normal skin....it is a matte foundation, but I love to use my Becca Backlight Primer with it and it gives it the perfect amount of glow to the skin with the foundation on top. :)

Mandy Davis MUA Well... I caved and ordered it tonight. Hoping my shade matches I used Sephora recommendations from my Pantone color match number. It always seems to be spot on so went with N3. I LOVE the estee edit flash illuminator in morning light Mixed with cover fx anti aging primer. That's my go to for illumination under foundation. I'll let you know if I love it!! I'm hoping it's magical!! My skin is normal but can lean dehydrated normal if I don't pack on the moisturizer Morning and night. My HG is elemis over all my serums and such. That stuff is amazing, plumps the skin right up. Thanks for the response!

Hello Mandy. When I read the ingredients of Synchro Skin, I was a bit terrified. It contains harmful chemical sunscreen, talc, silica and alcohol. Do you think it is fine to put those on the skin? I am so in love with this foundation before even trying it simply because you love it. I hope it would be safe to use everyday since it is a more of a natural foundation which I prefer. I address the alcohol content in almost all the videos I talk about it in...at least I try to. Talc and Silica is in a TON of makeup products, and I have never had issues with them personally. It is very hard to come by a very wide range of products that don't have them sadly. As far as the sunscreen, all ingredients affect people differently, and if you are sensitive to those I would definitely steer clear of anything that has them listed. I have never had issues with it, and personally don't feel like it will do too much damage for me since I wear at least 7 layers of skincare underneath. LOL And because I rotate through so many foundations every day that I only end up wearing it a few times a month. If you aren't comfortable wearing it everyday, that is totally understandable! If you have normal/ dry skin, I would HIGHLY recommend the Josie Maran one. It is more natural and just as beautiful. Hope this helps girl! xoxo

Can you give me an honest recomendation? I have super dry skin and yet been struggling with acne for the last 2 years, I take really good care of my skin cause I'm traying to take it back to normal, so as you can guess, foundations is the most important item on my makeup bag, but I still haven't found one that does not look super cakey on my dry skin, I prep my skin and everithing, can you suggest me any foundations that cover my acne and looks like skin on my dry patches? Thank you Melissa!!! I think that the main thing to do is skin prep first to try and use the least amount of foundation possible. Have you tried using an oil on your dry patches before applying makeup. I find that Rosehip is good for dry skin and actually works well under makeup. Then you could use concealer to touch up the scars before foundation. That way you can use a lighter coverage/lighter consistency foundation for the rest of your face that won't cake up. Does that make sense?

Hi Mandy, what foundations are "safe" to mix with the Josie Maran Vibrancy foundation since it is oil based? Or is it silicone based with some oil in it? THanks!

While it does have Argan Oil in it, it is also heavily based in silicones, so any silicone foundations would work great!

Thank you! I have normal skin. I would highly recommend the Loreal for oily skin. It doesn't have added fragrance or alcohol and it is locked down on your face all day...especially if you prep correctly for your oils. :)

I just watched that video very informative but I must admit your skin is near perfect. I'm afraid it wouldn't be enough coverage:( I was thinking along the lines as Estee Double Wear Urban Decay all nighter or Marc Jacobs Remarcable... I've tried samples of the Marc Jacobs and thinned it out with my Laura Mercier candleglow but I'm not sold on it yet. Thoughts? I'm just now starting to really take care of my skin so that in the future I'm not just covering it up but I scar so easily from acne and I'm 32 though my skin was perfect up to about 5 years ago...

:( I would suggest getting as many different samples as you can of different colors and try them in daylight...the colors in the stores are so off it is often hard to find your right shade under the lights they have.

MAC F&B😞 ? After the learning curve, I think it's one of the best for my 55+ crowd. Gotta be prepared to mix colors but that's kind of true w/ most foundations if you want a perfect match. I also think less is more once you hit a certain age, and F&B is sheer and forgiving. To me, foundation is like the perfect pair of jeans or the perfect bathing suit...I'll pay (almost) anything for a flattering fit!! FYI: Another REALLY surprising ds great for natural every day dewey coverage is the Loreal cushion. Color match was amazing for me (N4), plus seemless application w/a bb. Truly shocked!

wow...my son is allergic to corn husk which is where glycerin is derived...I was told to watch the amount of glycerin he used but he should be ok as long as it isn't ingested...I never knew anyone else to have that allergy😞
