For my 2005 WRX, the first thing I did was get the Accessport, then Cobb intake, Invidia downpipe & exhaust , then XClutch, a necessity when stock one blew. Then Mishimoto radiator, also out of necessity. I hesitate to spend on cosmetics. Yet. Maybe after I feel confident with the mechanics. A person’s top 5 is greatly affected by the age/condition of the car. I really did not know what I was getting into when first purchased the WRX. But I quickly caught the bug of passion & enthusiasm! I worry about that darned car, afraid something catastrophic is going to happen to it! It’s not that I think Subaru is unreliable or anything like that. I am not a mechanic, far from it. But am learning, thanks to other WRX lovers who share their knowledge & enthusiasm. Thank you so much to everyone who is willing to share knowledge. And thanks to Rally Sport Direct who are also very helpful & responsive. They also seem to have some of the lowest shipping costs to the Big Island of Hawaii. Shipping adds a huge expense to doing mods to the car.

#1 LOL the first thing you should do is void your warranty AKA Cobb Access port. #wait until 36K miles or 3 yrs when your warranty is over IMO. #2 Exhaust. Agree. #3 Downpipe Agree after warranty has expired. #4 Coilovers. Agree #5 Wheels/tires. Agree.

Do you recommend the access port even if the sti is an almost stock car? the after market parts installed as of now on my car is a invidia q300 catback exhaust.
@rallysportdirect4 жыл бұрын
Yes, 100%. well, with one caveat. If you have 0 plans to go further(ie stage 2 etc.) then I would still recommend it, but the benefits it gives you is harder to justify for the price. I still think it's worth it, but you can do quite a bit of fun stuff to the car for the same amount of money. But if eventually you do think you'll want more power, then it's a no-brainer and should certainly be one of your next mods :) Thanks, Rick

If I get an access port will it void my warranty
@rallysportdirect4 жыл бұрын
It wont "void" your warranty, however the dealership can deny you warranty work based off mods you have on your car. It will vary from dealership to dealership and even person to person. It would be best to speak with your local dealership to get an idea of what mods they are friendly towards. But do note that even on a 100% bone stock car, they can deny you warranty work if they suspect abuse, neglect etc.. so warranty stuff is always super subjective. Hope this helps. Thanks! Rick

Access port makes zero benefits for anything not engine related. Play back what you said and see how you implied that it affects everything lol Those springs in the coilovers will be rubbish on non smooth roads as far as comfort goes. Too much hype but you do cover a few good options like downpipe wheels and tyres.
