I hit the Cobra, the P790 (and P770), the Ping as well as an offering from Callaway and eventually landed on the Titleist T200's. I'm a little surprised they aren't on your list - but they were the best of the bunch for me.

WHS 3 index here. 53yrs of age. Play G425 irons using Callaway Chromesoft ball. I have no trouble getting the ball to stop on links greens.

It's just whatever gives you confidence. I feel like I'm gonna hit every shot thin with a thick sole/top line. But the long irons are too hard to hit so I stop at 6 iron 😂. 5 hdcp here.

PXG Gen 6 irons are amazing, the most forgiving irons IMO, great review!!

James you still have missed the best of this category the Srixon MK II 5 and/or 7 irons. If you test them I believe they would find their way in your bag. Best fitted irons I have ever owned by far!!!

they're not hollow body irons, they're a players cavity back iron. I play them as well, and I think they're the best cavity back on the market, better than mizuno for myself

I got a set of ping eye 2 My 5 Iron gose 150 to 160 yard . My 7iron 130 to 140 yard . I'm a 20 handicap. I want to upgrade my set of Irons to something better. To get a little bit more distance and look more control.

My favorite hollow bodied irons are Callaway Rogue St Pro irons. Love the way they feel and the flight and control I get with them.

They lost me when they had to add another 45 degree wedge into the mix because of the lofts being so crazy. Also, they are the i525s in power spec lofts. I'd like to see a comparison between the i525 power spec vs the i530 standard to see if the new "technology" really makes a difference. I'm betting not really since the i530s are only 3 yds longer on average compared to the standard i525s 😂

None of these irons are remotely in line for a high handicap golfer. If I’m not mistaken aren’t the Cobras available in an X model more suited for more forgiveness and slightly bigger profile? I recently hit a new set of 2022 Mavriks with the TT XP 95 shafts and retired my Ping G430’s. For $600 brand new they are bangers! The original iron had the MPH 95 shaft which in my opinion felt hard off the club face. This vid makes no sense.

I got Handen down jpx 921 mizunos and I’m at 25+ handicap . Sometimes I get them sometimes I don’t… I have bigger hands and feel the club twist so was thinking getting some midssizes . Or go to my local shop and trade in for a downgrade . Don’t know what to do ! Lol

I can't find an answer on the web but maybe y'all know? Does the notch in the Ping hosel, which, if i understand correctly is designed to aid in adjusting the loft and lie also cause them to become more easily misadjusted with use, than a conventional hosel design?

Anyone got any clarity on what number one spot is? I dont think James could have messed up the number 1 spot any more if he wanted to, he says number one spot is pxg 0311t irons, then writing comes up saying pxg 0133 T irons and then there's an on course review of the pxg 0317t irons 🤷🏼‍♂️

If the i525 is nearly as good good as the i230 irons then they would be awesome. I'm a high handicap golfer but I hit the ball fairly long I did a fitting and the game improvement irons just fly to far for me so I tried some of the players hollow body irons and found that the ping i230 is the pick of the bunch by far for me even better and easier to hit than all of the the game improvement irons I tried. Feel wise they matched the Mizuno 225 but we're alot more consistent strike and flight wise for me. I haven't placed the order yet as I've got a wedding to pay for and they came in at $2300 Aus dollars. But I'm going standard lie, 1 degree stronger lofts. I have been thinking about dropping i525 in at the 4,5 and 6 iron but I'm worried about gapping to the 7 iron

For mid-high HCPers, don’t forget DTCs. So many great choices for irons. Takomo, Haywood, Edel, Sub 70. Shop those places as well. Great value and great clubs.

Had a recent iron fit and have to say my unpopular opinion is the P790s are the worst feeling and sounding golf clubs I’ve ever hit in my life. First shot sounded like a shank, second confirmed that’s what it does indeed sound like…*casually passes club back to fitter without saying much*

It is the 0317 T. On pxg website it is listed ad 0317 filled cavity. Part of the tour inspired irons

Although several years old now, the Wilson D9's are exceptional value for the price. Wilson is an unfashionable brand currently because of the lack of proper marketing. However, their range of golf balls are superior to most.
