All middle eastern fragrances need time to have more maceration " I normally spray it a few time's in the air to get enough air into the bottle, then sit it in the back of my fragrance collection without the cap 4 to 6 week's. There's always a huge difference !!!!
@FragranceDOUD

I have never noticed a major difference. Having worked in a perfumery and for a large production company for a huge brand I know that they put their bottles through months of maceration. Any fragrance that makes it to your door doesn’t need to macerate any further. But there is a difference between maceration and maturation. Maceration is the time that a perfumery has to let a Fragrance sit after mixing the oils and the perfume concentrate is at the level they are desiring they let it sit in the dark and cool for weeks to months until fully macerated. Most people don’t understand that about 99% of deisgner fragrances are fully macerated prior to putting into production. The only fragrances that may still have 5-10% maceration to undergo are indie and niche that use a lot of high quality natural notes but even then those usually are few and far between. There is a maturation Of fragrances that can happen with newly produced or newly released fragrances in which a full 6 month period after product the fragrance can mature a bit. But most people who talk about this are the ones who worry about any light hitting their fragrances, and they love talking about batch issues and reformulations. I’ve been collecting fragrances for 25 years with about 30 middle eastern fragrances and I can say for pretty much any fragrance I have tried of any style maturation, maceration, reformulation, batch issues are all things no one ever has to worry about and if they do it’s just over analyzing or over obsessing about certain things. The only thing I agree with that I’ve said is that they need to stay out of heat and natural light but I have people obsessing over light bulbs being to close and putting fragrances in drawers and shoe boxes. None of my fragrances in 25 years have noticibly changed after I got them and none of the fragrances I’ve mentioned in this video will require any extra maceration as they are mostly synthetic notes

@@FragranceDOUD I have a little over 20 years collecting fragrances and hunting down very rare vintage fragrances and from my experience" every fragrance from lattafa to al Harriman to alhambra! Have smelled all over the place or just strong perfumer alcohol ! And have waited a few week's and gone back to it and had a totally different smell and experience " So guess I will agree to disagree on this one.

Actually Naxos was a "clone" of Havane. Mugler was released previously, so... There's also Armaf's Supremacy in Oud, a clone of Oud for greatness by Initio. Wonderful video!

Great video Doud this video would help a lot of people out who are on a budget I usually hate clones but I like the house of Lattafa I still haven’t got my nose on kamrah yet because I need to test kismet angel and emir fire your desire but I’m loving my angel share wearing that gem today Al haramain Amber oud rouge is damn near close to br540 no joke only the opening is weird and animalistic but the dry down is great I have 6 clones of br540 and nothing comes close to the real bottle of br540 which I own for comparison as well

Really great list. I own most of these, smelled all of them except that Amber Oud, and this is a really solid list. Khamarh from what I've heard from maybe half the people who have smelled both that and Angel's Share actually prefer the Khamarh. I'm in the middle, I think they're both great, but Khamarh definitely does its own thing. Another couple to check out: Armaf Club de Nuit Sillage - Smells EXACTLY like what Silver Mountain Water used to smell like. If you compare it to current SMW, you might think they're not as close, but it nails the old formulation. Armaf Legasi - Really nice Platinum Egoiste clone with some of the sharpness toned down. Afnan Supremacy Incense - Explosive, utterly fills a room and is a clone of Amouage Interlude. Armaf Tres Nuit - The closest clone to Green Irish Tweed you can find and it's about $20. Fantastic.

I can't say I've tried any of these clones besides Lattafa Khamrah (a fantastic fragrance on its own!) but the one that I think is very impressive is Armaf Sillage. If you like Creed SMW, then I HIGHLY recommend Sillage because to me, this is so close (90-95%) to the original and it checks off everything you'd want in a fragrance, performance/longevity (8-10 hours on skin easily), projection and price point-$35.00 or so! Another clone that I'm really impressed is Lattafa Asad and this stuff is also fantastic!

@@FragranceDOUD Yeah...I'm with on this as well and I can't say I love SMW but I do have to admit, Armaf did a great job of cloning SMW with Sillage.

Bvlgari Tygar is very very very similar to LV Afternoon Swim. Considering Bvlgari is owned by LVMH group. It's the same perfumer. I have both and both are very similar. IMO Tygar last longer on me.

Have you tried Alexandria Black Panther? It's really close to Tygar. Like maybe 95%. I love it. Also, off topic but I'm going to be in Pittsburgh next week for a conference. Any recommendations for good food or restaurants?
@FragranceDOUD
@FragranceDOUD 2 жыл бұрын
Pittsburgh isn’t really known for its food unless it’s the really expensive places. Monterey Bay on mount Washington is great, capital grill, Ruth’s Chris are all really expensive tho. There is a mildly expensive melting pot and P.F. Chang’s. Then just basic stuff like fiores pizza but it’s not in the city center it’s the best pizza in Pittsburgh. There is a great breakfast place near me probably the best in Pittsburgh called first watch as well. As far as Alexandria I despise all Alexandria and DUa fragrances because the oil level on them is absurd. It’s like vegetable oil on your skin

He probably forgot but yeah Lattafa asad is damn near close to Dior Sauvage elixir I own both full bottles actually asad is coming this week in the mail I have a sample that I sent him and he sent it back to me when he got his bottle in Dior Sauvage elixir smells much smoother and has more depth with the notes of licorice, lavender, & nutmeg both are creamy cause of the sandalwood it’s a great alternative to sauvage elixir and lately, Lattafa has been on a roll

Hi Is the perfume at saks off fifth authentic? Coz it’s a steep price diff. And they do have bottle size that’s not at regualr stores lik Macys
@FragranceDOUD
@FragranceDOUD 2 жыл бұрын
Saks off fifth prices are the same as the prices at Nordstrom rack or TJ Maxx they are rack stores selling discounted fragrances. Of course it’s authentic it’s sacks. But those prices aren’t nearly as low as you would find on online discounters

@@zulekhanavas6530 ?? I’m confused sacks fifth Ave is just the same as sacks off fifth which SACKS is one of the most well known beauty stores in the world. Sacks fifth Ave is their high class stores and sacks off fifth is the same thing just smaller locations across the globe. Sorry but I thought everyone knows what sacks is as it’s more popular then Macys. Cologne is real pretty much anywhere u buy it but third party sellers on eBay, amazon, Etsy, and mercari. But companies aren’t going to change the concentrations of fragrances if they discount them. Discounters are everywhere and sacks off fifth is actually the most expensive of al the discounters I’ve seen I never buy from them any more because there much better prices online and at other stores. But to answer ur question plainly your viewing a discounter as something negative a discounter is just when brands aren’t selling well they lower their prices and send them to discounters to sell at a better price
