I have sourced product from China and this is something that happens a lot. The company is real, however it's just a management company acting as an agent, and they are repping a factory. Sometimes they do this to be duplicitous, other times they do it because nobody at the factory speaks English.

The first business woman with her earsox idea was very inspiring to see how she reacted to the sharks. Even though she didn't broker a deal she is going to get a couple of introductions and she maintained her very high level of confidence which is so important for success. That last one was insane. It is a criminal offense in Australia to make therapeutic claims that are not backed up by peer-reviewed studies. The TGA would squash that tea lady like a bug, regulating her easily copied tea as if it were medicine requiring a prescription.
