There's another way to access Symbols, go to GBoard Settings > Preferences > scroll down at bottom > turn on "Long Press For Symbols". symbols will show smaller in Top Right of the letters and when you "Long Press" a hinted symbol in a Letter, the symbol will show.

Can you please tell how to get arrow keys in keyboard that useful like cursor, In my previous mobile i had that dedicated arrow symbols in keyboard, but in my new mobile's keyboard i have to press 123 symbol then special symbol section then only i can see buttons, is there anyway to get them directly on qwerty keyboard while typing text without going into special symbol section

I just installed gboard and already am missing the enter key (to make two paragraphs out of one, for instance, one needs to choose a break point. The new gboard (arrow pointing right) has a key that will jump to create a new paragraph but won't let one split up a long paragraph. Suggestions?

Used Gboard then was pissed they removed the Google icon to look for things.. hope it comes back! Then I fell in love with MS SwiftKey... Incredible!! Now I'm back with Gboard only because the mic captures my voice much better than SK. .. if SK can fix there mic I would go back to it. But both are good. Thx for the tips

The only reason why I'm using SwiftKey over gboard is multilingual typing. Gboard lacks it and I have to have this feature

I get it, but google has all kinds of translation software, and while Swiftkey used to be the absolutely best keyboard for phones, it absolutely SUCKS right now. It is the worst keyboard for accuracy of all of them, and Samsung's keyboard is right there with it. The MAIN reason I use Gboard, is because it's the most accurate at this moment, although it looks aesthetically worse than all the rest.

Could not find ^ which is upper-case 6 on a PC keyboard, as requested by one comment here. ... Is available. Hold the icon, on the extreme bottom-left corner. Then swipe to the "." icon to the right of the space bar. Many other symbols are available also, by long-press any of the three keys near the bottom left corner, then dragging onto other keys on the virtual keyboard. Remember, select those you need to use. GBOARD is not available for my no-names Android-9 tablet. Only my Umidigi F2 (Android -10) smartphone. The swipe keyboard input is good. Exact spelling or typing is not needed. It guesses or offers the choice of words. It seems also to auto-correct some grammar errors, such as plurals or singular word spellings. Voice input is OK, but not as good nor accurate as swipe input. Very clear spoken pronunciation is needed. Missing yet is the grammar and word choices given in my registered versions of the Ginger keyboards, or in the Ginger extensions in the Chromium based web browsers.
