I like the short format for “Workshop This.” Thank you for the info. I don’t have a gelli plate.

I just got my copy of the book today and my 2 Gelli plates. I’m reading along in the book and will practice as I go. Really looking forward to trying this type of monoprinting, and seeing how it might be combined with other techniques.🙂 Thank you for sharing the videos.

Nice video. Thanks. You helped my plate purchase, talking about 'maybe you don't want all that paper hanging off your plate.' Many gel plates don't match paper sizes. I could only find one mixed media art paper in my USA art store that is 8x10. But there was a ton of options at 9x12 & a really great deal too. I decided to go with that, for both the paper & the plate. If I ever create a nice print I want to frame I realized I can just adhere it to a larger sheet; the 9x12 paper edge will help create a nice border edge. That sounds better than trying to keep a clean border with the messy process of gel plate printing.

Robyn, thanks for the rundown on the plate sizes. I have a lot of these sizes, but haven’t gone over 8x10 yet. I have a 9x12 but haven’t gotten the courage to size up. Someday it woul;d be great to feel like I know enough about gelli printing to be able to take on the 16x20. 😺

Thank you so much for this tutorial series Robyn. I'm way behind watching them but I'm catching up😄 I have a 6 x 6 and recently I got a 9 x 12 ( I live in Europe) and some smaller cheeper ones from a different brand. I didn't use the big one yet but the 6 x 6 I was experimenting with. Live got in the way and I couldn't play for a long time but hopefully that will be soon different. Thank you so much for sharing, stay safe and have a wonderful day.😍❤

Love the mini workshops--so fun! 🤔 Unless one is wanting to stamp with the smaller plates (use the plate to transfer color to paper vs. "pulling prints" from it) it seems to me that buying ONE XL (at least 12 x 12) you can print on any size paper makes the most sense. Of course, you do not have to ink the whole plate every time--if you're doing 8.5x11, then just ink/paint up that area. If you're doing 5x7 or index cards--well then just apply paint to an area that size. This does a few things: no borders to have to either cut off or try to cover (bc the plate's too small for the paper) only ONE plate to have to buy only ONE plate to have to store can do full 12x12 (scrapbook size) if you want to (and ANY other size for that matter) Unless you plan to apply paint/ink to the little hand-held size and use them like stamps--bigger is better for my money 💸😎

I'd love to use your discount code to buy the 8x10 or the 9x12 plate, but it's not available anymore. It's hard to get those sizes here in Europe. Thank you for sharing.

Love your style, work, videos I am so inspired by your jelly plate project. But in my country I don't finding jelly plate and no shipping from Amazon to Bulgaria, unfortunately. I handmade by self and made many papers with it but I would to have the original plate...I continued to looking for.

Daniela, do you have smooth silicone cookie sheets in your country? Works really well and is cheaper than a gel plate. All you need is a fairly soft, squishy surface. Good luck!
