Tim, thank you again for having me! I'm still in disbelief that I'm watching a video of myself play guitar in that room.

Awesome to see Ross at Tim’s. That is some serious recognition from a guy who knows. You’re currently a ‘Best Kept Secret’ that everyone knows about. Well deserved.

It's so professional of you Tim (and smart!) that you are willing to sit down with these younger players like Ross, Steve, Brett, etc and work off and play around with each others playing styles. You are a humble man Tim and it seems very genuine as well. You are one of the best, have done so many things, but you still take time for the rest of us! THANK YOU!

This why we love Tim. It's not just the beautiful playing, it's the humility. He never makes it about himself - it's all about the music and the joy and catharsis that comes with being able to express yourself (and teach others how to better express themselves) through music. Well done Tim & Ross. Also, that Duesenberg is freaking gorgeous.

This is so cool. I had the pleasure of meeting Ross at 42 Gear Street 2 this year. Such a humble and pro guy. Also a great hang out. I learnt a lot just from listening to him. He told me about this video, I had to check it out. Two Legends in one room!

Big fan of Ross and his playing style. Tim, love your comment about playing more melodically with the 7 note scales. I've been noticing the same thing as I progress in my playing, though never thought of it that way.

Allman Brothers Band is the first thing I thought of when I heard Ross play, then you really topped it off with that Gibson Les Paul Goldtop in the background. Their music has been a blessing to the world, it is hard to believe that four of the original members have already passed on. The road goes on forever, Midnight Rider !!!

Thanks for having Ross. I subscribe to his channel and have taken both of his courses. I especially like the way he practices both scales and chords in 4ths. Really sticks in the brain and your always doing a 1, 4, 5 kind of progression. Like always playing a song. I just subscribed, thanks again for sharing.

I sort of accidentally switched over to economy picking a couple of years back because I kept tinkering with it when I watching tv and stuff, and now it's really starting to come in. But man, I tell yah after 32 years of playing....that old alternate habit is REALLY ingrained hahaha.

Ross is a great player, I've been watching him for some time, he really knows his's theory and can teach it. I don't think he'll be continuing his on line lesson when he gets to Nashville or comes to LA, he'll probably be to busy learning to play the twang or to be a shredder. He's seems to be a really nice person, I wish he and you the very best, thank you for sharing.

Fantastic Video… What type of Les Paul is that? Looks similar to my 89 pre-historic…

As far as I am aware all the supersonic speed shredders alternate pick all the time. Is that right? I've had shredders tell me that I need to switch from economy picking to alternate picking if I want to get faster. But it sounds more mechanical and less soulful to me IMO.
