@Toaster Hey California did not seek to keep microstamping when they filed their appeal, they got their appeal with only magazine safety disconnect and loaded chamber indicator. ALMOST all manufacturers can install a magazine safety disconnect and loaded chamber indicator so we will be able to get new handguns on the roster after a week from now. To be honest tho it will be very few handguns that we will get because a lot of gun manufacturers will not want to deal with that magazine safety disconnect or loaded chamber indicator bull shit 😂

In 2024 Ruger max 9 comes optic cut and is on our California roster,some trigger safety lock up issue has been reported by other gun reviews,release and pull trigger again usually works be careful in emergency situations… Sig 2022 is said to be discontinued,hurry if you want one before they’re gone.

I went with the Sig M25 as well. It’s tried and true, accurate, reliable, looks dope and has an amazing legacy. Sig sells some great lights for it if you so chose . It’s definitely top 5 we can get here. I got the SRT added to mine as well. It’s really fun to shoot.

The Smith and Wesson Air Weight 642 is a good pocket revolver, the Ruger LCP is a good semi-auto pistol. Most gun ranges in Southern California have them for people to try out, hope this helps !

I have the Ruger GP100. It was my first gun. It’s Rugers answer to the S&W 686. You failed to mention that another bonus of the 686 is that it will accept not only .357 rounds but also .38SP rounds. Makes it very versatile. And as we all know, the .38 rounds are cheaper. 👍

the new 407 Comp is out. would be good for the G34. Slide length doesn't matter for sight radius with an optic.

They are cool guns but to me the trigger is not that great (personal opinion) and the mag release doesn’t suit well with some people. But they’re HK’s and will get the job done for sure !

Why does sight radius matter on a gun that has a holographic sight?

I chose to put the optic on the gun, but if you decide to keep it stock then longer sight radius helps. That’s why a lot of competitive shooters use the Glock 34.

I know we’re only limited to the Franklin armory CA7, Juggernaut Tactical JT15, and the there was another one, but which one would pick? also if you could have one .22LR pistol from the handgun roster which one would it be?

I appreciate it ! Well to me the Juggernaut Tactical feels the best, it comes with a bit more features. Franklin Armory and Camdon defense also have good AR pistols for sure. As for a 22 lr handgun, I’d go for the Ruger Mark IV that was just added on to the roster, or the Walther P22.

It depends on the county, but for me in my former residence of Orange County there weren’t any rules against it. I’m no longer in California for I haven’t kept up with the ccw laws to be honest

It's really crazy to think that the CA roster is basically a time capsule for the state of the U.S. handgun market back in the early-2000s. That being said: It's a good thing that CA residents can still buy Gen 3 Glocks, because that Glock generation has proven itself to be immortal and infinitely customizable: I live in a state where I can buy Gen 4s or Gen 5s, but I've stuck with my Gen 3s (and I've had two of them since ~2009).

If only the Glock 19 Gen 3 didn’t make my middle finger uncomfortable after more than 40 rounds because of the finger groove and trigger guard. I do not want to have to make modifications to the grip and trigger guard. That’s why I’ll try the G34 Gen 3. I’ve shot my brother’s G19 Gen 5 and it’s more comfortable.

I live in Commiefornia as well and I couldn't stand the thought of getting a CA compliant neutered 10rnd magazine so I opted for the Glock 26 gen 3 and put a Streamlight TRL-6 laser/light with some pinky extensions on a few of my extra magazines. I had a chance to buy a Glock 34 Gen 4 with full capacity magazines brand new in the csse from a friend, but unfortunately I didn't have the money and he sold it by the time I could afford it. 😢

They are called suppressor height sights, but in reality they are just taller sights that allow you to co-witness with your red dot.

Man I can’t stand calis laws, from knives to guns, and most recently to allowing children to be taken. From parents if they don’t give their children hormone replacement therapy if they say they’re a different sex, to allowing thieves to steal up to a thousand dollars and only get a ticket ie no arrest

I will say that the Px4 does not shoot like a Glock. Recoil impulse is different and the muzzle rise is minimal compared to a Glock. The PX4 has more of a torquing to the right feel, if that makes sense. I own both and I'm more accurate with my PX4 full size. Oh you forgot to list a Beretta 92. It's an awesome gun and is on the stupid roster.

When the S hits the fan, 9mm is the way to go. It is the most produced and available. The sp2022 is my edc. Just a personal preference.

Shotgun is a better choice. It’s pretty much impossible to get accurate hits when your blood is pumping with adrenaline when multiple attackers are storming down your front/back door. Getting hits at the range in an controlled environment is completely different in an active shooter environment.

@@TansterRE multiple attackers would tell you a pistol or a rifle is a better choice. Pulling a trigger under stress is a lot easier than fully pumping the action and pulling the trigger under heavy stress and recoil.

@@ltx383 I have a semi shotgun with no pumping needed. 8 rounds of buckshot that is ready to go. 9 pellets fired with each shell about the size of a 9mm. My handgun would not be my go to for multiple attackers.

The only thing that I can say that’s a positive about this whole situation is if you love 1911’s, there are a lot on the roster. I know it’s not much but 1911’s are classic, accurate firearms with triggers that are like butter. And it’s arguably the safest gun in the world to keep cocked and locked. Expensive though for a decent one. Springfield and Colt have some great options at somewhat reasonable prices. Is it going to be a Wilson Combat 1911 that’s made to order for 3k? No. But if you don’t have to have the “flavor of the month” firearm and want quality, you’ll definitely get that. 👍
