Sofitel remains my favourite as far as Sukhumvit hotels go. Slightly cheaper than Sheraton/Westin nearby but as good in terms of facilities and rooms. Room tip - get the prestige suite. It has a bose sub woofer system that produces thunderous sound for the occasions when you have a couple of visitors inside the room and want to party. The suite is sound proofed. Also, it's not too close to any of the party streets and street noise is not a problem. And remember, not all hotels are guest friendly. The Sofitel is, the Sheraton nearby isnt as accommodating. That's a point to note for all you single gentlemen out there.

Sofitel website says no outside guests - have you ever had an issue?
@Val_kyriee2 ай бұрын
Never. In fact, the reception personnel hold your visitors ID before they send them up to your room for your safety. The visitor retrieves it when they leave your room and reception calls your room to make sure you're okay. As does Fraser Suites. I'm sure this is common practice for a few of the other hotels in the area. In fact Sofitel has one particular room in the Millesime category that has a balcony with a plunge pool. This room is an anomaly of the architectural plans for the hotel and is the only one in its class that has these amenities. Make sure you ask for it if you book a room there. It's usually occupied but you may get lucky. Amazing view. Edit : You could also try the Hyatt regency between the entrance to Soi 11 and the Sofitel. Guest friendly, newer hotel and it has direct access to the nana BTS. But i still prefer the Sofitel because its almost equidistant to both Nana and Terminal 21/Soi Cowboy. And the shopping district of Siam is just a couple of stops away. If you don't mind AirBnBs, there is the Hyde Building in Soi 11 which has decent rooms, some very luxurious, all furnished with washing machine etc. and guest access is not a problem. Much cheaper too than these hotels I'm talking about. The only issue is that guests with less than 30 days cannot use the gym/pool.

I reccomend the Majestic Suites which is right around the cornwer from NANA P laza on Sukhimvit. I stay here because it is close to Bumrungrad Hospital where i go for medical appointments. They are clean, comfortable and very friendly and helpful.

Thanks for the information, but there is one piece missing especially when going to visit the red light districts: Which of the hotels is guest-friendly, meaning they will not charge extra joiner fee for guests you bring to the room?

I couldn‘t disagree more. First having been to Bangkok Sukhumvit for years now, I clearly prefer Soi Cowboy, I go every year, I try every year Nana Plaza again and then go back to Soi Cowboy because it is so much more fun. And then, secondly, for people preferring Soi Cowboy the Grande Centre Point Terminal 21 is a perfect Hotel. 5 stars, direct access to the shopping center with big food courts, direct access to the BTS Asok station from where you can hop to Nana in minutes, and the hotel has no flaws at all, go there every year as said after trying other hotels in the region.
@lanesands50662 жыл бұрын
would n0t stay at any of the hotels you reccommend. all are very expensive and there are way better choices. have stayed in over 40 hotels in Bangkok since 2016. and there are many 40 to 50 dollar night hotels that are just as highly rated

There are hundreds of cheaper hotels. But they certainly do not provide the levels of service, room quality and facilities that one who is willing to spend some money may expect. Not everyone is looking to save money you know.
@rondodson5736 Жыл бұрын
Your right to choose where you stay, but i like the Majestic and they charge $47 a night. Room has everything i want. and i think the price is very fair, staff go out of their way to be helpful.

Exactly what I was going to ask... Just got back from Bangkok, a few hotels I checked didn't allow smoking in the rooms or have a balcony. Finally found an old hotel prince palace. It's a bit far from Sukhumvit but I loved it's old school charm... It's huge , they have smoking rooms and they don't care who you bring to your room. But let me know if you do find more options

@hassanalihusseini17179 ай бұрын
Don't be so hard. It is difficult to pronounce place names correctly. Most Farang people also often say "PatTAAya" instead of "PattaYAA". And I am living on "Srinagarindra Road", how do you think it is pronounced if you read it written in Latin letters as a Farang?
