My second grade teacher gave me a Hoya plant to take care of when she found out I love to garden with my grandmother… I am now 39 years old, and still care for the same for your plant. Now, I’m getting ready to make some cuttings into hangers for my SON’S second grade teachers, 32 years later

I’ve been collecting plants for a while. I have more plants than I should. Every time someone would see my plants they would say “you have all these plants & no hoyas??”, and “once you get a Hoya you’ll want to start collecting them”. I finally broke down & got a krimson Queen. She’s the slowest growing plant I own (I live in S Florida where it’s always sunny & humid) & I never ever had pests until she came in & invited all her royal subjects, mealy bugs. I’m ready to give her away as a gift to my neighbor, the one who lets her dog poop in my yard. 😆. Hope you don’t have the same problems. 🤗

Can you do a video on what u did wrong when u started hoyas and what changed for u to be more successful? I think it will help for newbies troubleshooting their hoya experience. And it will be another back to basics kind of video aka reintroduction for new followers. Great video... and all quality men need to be like hoya obovatas! Desired obovata-like haracteristics: thick, solid, independent but slightly needy without being too needy, magnetic without being over the top theatrics, supportive but a bit relaxed...and fill round personality with spots of intrigue. Now to get a search engine to find me that said man. 🤔😂😂

Is the Macrophylla a fast growing plant? I was thinking of getting one.
@musicalkid148523 жыл бұрын
@@pettyle5624 Mine grew pretty fast. If you give it enough light it should grow relatively fast. However, if you have a cutting, it'll take a while before it does because it's going to try and grow roots first prior to the foliage. The vines will grow like crazy, but actually developing the leaves could take some time if you have too low light or if it's in a pot that's too big.

Oh I love Hoyas, I just got the Krimson princess, and the two new leaves coming in are pink and so adorable. I also have a really old Carnosa just green that I repotted after many years and some of the stems broke off and I popped them in water and crazy enough they rooted up very quickly and now I can pot them up and have a whole other plant. I also have the Hoya Pubicalyx, love that beauty, guess mine is the "Royal Hawaiian Purple" since it's leaves are the darker green like yours is, I would love the Pubicalyx "Splash", the speckles on the leaves are amazing! Your Iris Marie is adorable, someday I will get this one cause it is interesting and fun. The Macrophylla, it so beautiful, love the leaves and the variegated edges, this is on my wish list as well. Yes, get a bamboo hoopy thing I think it would look super cool to have it wrap around it. I have a tiny Hoya Obovata, I love it and can't wait for it to get bigger. Question, Nick, do Hoyas need humidity? I have some begonias, which I've read need humidity. I just bought a Honeywell humidifier. However the humidity level is only about 40% What am I doing wrong?
