Personally I love a Slugger build the best. I up my damage output as much as I can, but it's so funny to see the monster get stunned after about 2 or 3 Earthshakers.

I don’t know about the game being dead. I just started playing Monster Hunter Rise cause I just got a Switch in Christmas Eve. I haven’t had any problem at all finding a group to Hunter with either no matter if I did 1* hunts or 4* hunts which I’m on now.

I just picked up hh and love it, far more than world. I been using full valstrax with atk 7 and using valstrax hh. It's not the most powerful hh. But I enjoy the large white and don't mind taking slightly longer to kill monsters.

What's the best melding option to get the talisman shown in the first build?

Not sure; but odds are it was from before the rng system. Unless you’re looking for something specific it’s recommended to the the latter two; if you need something specific then moon bow it till you get one with a good dispersion of the skill and gem slots then proceed to the afformentioned method But for instance, the slugger 2, counter strike 2, 2 2 slot talisman I pulled probably isn’t possible to pull anymore

They’ve been trying to nerf my raw bludgeoner build; I run the valx build now but even then the diablos horn with the attack 3 (might be 2) out performs every other horn. The rampage agito does let you run the earthshaker instead of bead; but it’s still not worth it in the long run; unless you’re considering the counter signal in rampage mode.

From the sets i’m guessing the priority is: attack boost -> wex -> critical eye -> crit boost

Ihave a similar set to the last one. I use 4 Kush pieces and the Somnacanth Boots. Then I have a Recovery Up lvl 1 with 2 lvl 2 Slots. This allows me to out in 1 Divine Blessing Jewel (for Divine Blessing lvl 3, which is also very good with this Set), 2 Recovery Up Jewels, 1 Flinch free Jewel, 1 Horn Maestro Jewel, and 3 Level 1 Jewels. (I use Free Meal, because then I can more often use Mega Drugs) Other good options are Stamina Thief, Speed Sharpening, or the Elemental Resistance Jewels, which also synergize very good with this set !

Why is Rise dead ? Is it because of the lack of update ? Didn't they say Capcom will focus on MH Stories 2 for a while ? so they will hold on updating the game? :( Hopefully it is not... I hope it will last as long as iceborn

The updates will come. Just gotta be patient for rn. You also have to remember that iceborne was the "second version" of world. We're still on the "first version" of rise. I don't expect another big update until around the end of the year, which sucks.
